Determining what Happened, how and why it happened, and accepting the fact that it can happen is, as you write, is of paramount importance.
The fact is that it is human nature to react than be,— is the word proactive.
Also, because the MSM hates to pursue anything that does not fit their meme, one might consider, (is it thousands?) that died in Europe in I believe 2012 because of heavy dependence of green energy. Froze to death. Sad!

The last I heard, they were still saying it.
It all looks cold to me! That top picture reminded me of what Boston looked like when I drove in there the day after their record snow last winter. Except there were cars lined up like that on both curbs and I was driving a 68 foot long vehicle down the middle between them with people walking on the street in front of me because the sidewalks had much deeper snow on them than the street. That little trip into and out of Chelsea east of Bunker Hill is one that I won’t ever forget.
Only those with a Ph & D (piled higher and deeper) and lots of federal research grant funds can tell the difference between global cooling and global cooling snows.

I remember sometime in the late 50’s when a helicopter brought food to us and we had to distribute it Lots of snow, no school, Get through, or over the snow somehow.
It was GREAT!

Ah, the Boston blizzard of 1978. Remember it well. We lived in Stoneham on top of a rock outcrop, third floor apartment. The lee of the building caused a snowdrift. Came up to our balcony floor, so about 18 feet. Streets made great cross country skiing since it took a week to dig out. Snowplows were useless in the deep drifts. Front end wheelloaders were needed.

Great proposal for a government grant: Propose investigating the difference in individual snowflakes of AGW snow to non-AGW snow. I bet if worded properly that would bring in $500,000.00 to begin the study.
Actually, I already did some research into that. Normal snow has hexagonal symetry, while CAGW snow has a six-fold symetry.

Just got done watching 60 minutes and how the Peterman Glacier is sliding into the sea blah blah blah blah blah implying that sea level rise is accelerating, but they never said so.
Oh yes, they said, “We need to be out here every year blah blah blah …” Translation we need more grant money so we can have fun. Really it must really be a hoot for these guys to camp out up there and get re-supplied by helicopter every other week. I bet they get steak lobster and booze.
