The West is running on empty. For nearly 15 years, the Colorado River Basin has been plagued by drought. Stretching from the Rockies to southern Arizona, the basin provides water for more than 40 million people in California and the Southwest through a series of reservoirs. But the water is disappearing… fast.

Much of the Southwest and Great Plains are much wetter than normal.
But things weren’t always this green. During the 1930’s when CO2 was a “very safe” 310 PPM, 80% of the country was in drought.
The US has been running wetter than normal for the past two years, and droughts have been on the decline for the past 120 years.

It is a classic example of runaway droughtflood! Droughtflood is obviously fossil fuel powered. It was unprecedented until Dr. Hayhoe invented it in 2011. Before that, you had drought and flood, but never both at the same time. We are all going to die!!
We know that climatic conditions ebb and flow.
Much of it in the U.S. has to do with the PDO
Unfortunately, people make poor decisions during the flow and then wonder
why there are problems during the ebb.
I have read of studies that have the conclusion that as much as 42% of the
ocean rise (which is not accelerating) may be due to land run-off, other than
from precipitation. Seems quite high
Some major aquifers are gradually being depleted, and that is a concern.
That has nothing to do with any kind of human caused climate change.
But is a result of wanton use of water in ways that have not been done before.
(Like growing pot)
A huge problem with the climate change craziness, is that we are barking up the
wrong tree.
