Heatwaves were much longer, more widespread, more frequent and more intense prior to 1960.
NASA and NOAA have massively tampered with the temperature data prior to 1960, so this part of American history is largely lost. And government agencies don’t talk about pre-1960 forest fires, because it doesn’t suit their agenda. All part of the biggest science fraud in history.
One thing the chicken littles of climate change don’t bank on is older folks like myself who remember what things were like 75 years ago. I’ve seen pacific storms take out homes along the California coast from Santa Barbara to Venice. I’ve seen wildfires that took out over 500 homes. Seen them burn from Ventura all the way down to Malibu. I’ve hiked 400 feet above sea level and miles from the ocean as a kid living in Santa Barbara. We found plenty of clam shells and sea fossiles up there. The Chumash Indians didn’t put those artifact there … it was all underwater an some point in history. I’ve seen those beautiful Channel Islands covered in snow … and the streets of Santa Barbara covered with it as well. I’ve seen storms and constant rain take out most of the bridges in Ventura County … and the Ventura River full of boulders, cars and houses being washed down to the sea. Is climate changing? Do chile dogs taste good? Good tasting chile dogs are nothing new … and neither is a changing climate.
Hot and dry summers (USA, > 40 lat) will be coming back again,
in about 5 to 6- years we will be back to where we were in 1932….

Could it be World War II? At least for 1942-1945? I see from here http://www.oceanclimate.de/Archiv/pdf/may4_10.pdf that the Pacific War had an important influence over climate.

You see there somebody CLAIMS that the war in the Pacific had an important influence over climate. I don’t believe it for a minute. When on considers the Battle of the Atlantic and massive numbers of convoys transiting there was actually a great deal more naval activity over a longer period of time in the much smaller Atlantic Ocean during WW II. So why would not any effects by man not have showed up there to an even greater extent than in the Pacific?
It could well be that the powers that be [ Obama & ] are well aware of the natural climate change coming up in 5-6 years
[due to global cooling]
causing shortages of food in the world market
