Settled Science Update

Over the last 18 hours, the projected path of hurricane Joaquin has shifted dramatically to the East. But climate models can tell you the temperature in 100 years within 0.01 degrees.

Steve, you deserve a night out to relax. Divine Coincidence seems to have the AGW scam under control.

  2. Andy DC says:

Even at this late date, there is a great disagreement with respect to the models. About half, go out to sea, the other half the Carolinas. A classic case of too much information being more useless than none at all. Just wondering, could someone know ahead of time what solution is going to be right? Maybe clean up playing some commodities or derivatives market with inside information?

  3. Latitude says:

and the way they claim accuracy…….five minutes before landfall

    • Jason Calley says:

And the way they will call it a hurricane strike even if not a single land station measures hurricane strength winds.

  4. Psalmon says:

Miami University is playing Cincinnati tonight in football. I noticed Miami now just refers to themselves as the “Canes”. Maybe that’s be cause nobody in Florida would know what a Hurricane actually is after not seeing one for 10 years.

  5. Gail Combs says:

We are in mid North Carolina and have had rain for the last week or so coming in from the east instead of from the west as was normal five years ago. (The weather has been squirrelly and unpredictable since the Jets went loopy.)

    • pinroot says:

I’m in the Piedmont region (originally from the Wilmington area) and I’ve noticed the same thing regarding the recent rains here. We’re getting it from the southeast rather than west or northwest. I assumed it was from the storm off the coast, but it could be due to the loopy jetstream.

      • Gail Combs says:

I am smack in the middle of the state and since the weather is critical to our business we have paid attention for the last twenty years. It used to be storms came from the west. What was on the other side of the Appalachians was going to hit us although the mountains would often shred the weather pattern making exact prediction of rainfall a bit hard.

However for the last few years that easy to predict pattern no longer works. The winds and the weather now come from all four points of the compass instead of mostly from the west. It is driving us nuts since we can not tell if scheduled activities will be suddenly rained out.

    • Jason Calley says:

Hey Gail, I think the weather has been crazy ever since we stopped going to the Moon!
      🙂

  6. Steve Case says:

The can’t predict El Niños and La Niñas either so why should we believe they can predict patterns of precipitation and other climate related phenomena 100 years in the future?

    • Gail Combs says:

The ClimAstrologists can not even tell us what causes the ABRUPT 8 °C to 16 °C temperature swings called the Dansgaard-Oeschger Events.

So the ClimAstrologists want us to believe they can predict the temperature within 1 °C a hundred years in the future?

      Don’t make me laugh!

  7. omanuel says:

    A worldwide crash may be inevitable, . . .

if the trajectory locked in place in AUG-SEPT 1945 was aimed at:

    _ a.) A one-world, totalitarian government, in violation of

_ b.) The public right to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness

omanuel, what is there to say? You are unusual. You are crazy. You are clinging to a 1947 Stalin takeover of science? Please get some meds.

    • AndyG55 says:

Git, You are unusually moronic, You are medically crazy

You obviously aren’t taking your meds.

    • omanuel says:

      “What is there to say?”

      1. Oliver is mentally ill and out of contact with reality?

      2. The mosaic of worldwide deceit extends far beyond climatology to include all major fields of physics, academic, financial and social institutions and is almost beyond comprehension:

      http://charleshughsmith.blogspot.com/2015/09/you-cant-separate-empire-state.html?m=1

I join you in hoping the problem is mental illness in Oliver and that politically powerful old drunks are not now using Planned Parenthood (an instruction I once supported) to harvest livers from unborn babies.

By the way, pages 153-154 of the autobiography of Sir Fred Hoyle [Home Is Where The Wind Blows, 1994] (mathematician, astronomer and astrophysicist) explains how the internal composition of the Sun was changed from:

_ a.) Mostly iron (Fe) in 1945 to
      _ b.) Mostly hydrogen (H) in 1946
