“Climate Is Still The Same – Memories Are To Blame”

Fifty years ago, The Chicago Tribune pointed out that belief in climate change is driven by faulty memory.

and there is also a 210 year cycle, DeVries but I am not sure where exactly we are within the DeVries.

I don’t want to sound alarmist, but if you count back 87 years from now we are in 1928.
1932 was the begin of the Dust Bowl drought.

Are you guys prepared for droughts?

The Solar Radiation and Climate Experiment (SORCE) is a NASA-sponsored satellite mission that is providing state-of-the-art measurements of incoming x-ray, ultraviolet, visible, near-infrared, and total solar radiation. The measurements provided by SORCE specifically address long-term climate change, natural variability and enhanced climate prediction, and atmospheric ozone and UV-B radiation. These measurements are critical to studies of the Sun; its effect on our Earth system; and its influence on humankind.

Danger from global cooling is documented and provable. It looks we have only ca. 4 or 5 “fat” years left……
    WHAT MUST WE DO?
? We urgently need to develop and encourage more agriculture at lower latitudes, like in Africa and/or South America. This is where we can expect to find warmth and more rain during a global cooling period.
? We need to warn the farmers living at the higher latitudes (>40) who already suffered poor crops due to the droughts that things are not going to get better there for the next few decades. It will only get worse as time goes by.
? We also have to provide more protection against more precipitation at certain places of lower latitudes (FLOODS!), <[30] latitude, especially around the equator

is clearly half of the Gleissberg, you can imagine it will turn (2015/2016) and that it will start forming the second half of same Gleissberg cycle.

I am guessing here, but I think that the rate of decline of the sine wave on temperature could be controlled by the DeVries/Suess?

  4. Henry P says:

William Arnold has a paper from 1985 that included the relationship of solar spots and the flooding of the Nile and he also had an interesting connection to the position of the planets
which I found correct although there is a time difference between my results and his results.

  5. Henry P says:

    Gail says
There are several different cycles tand he e DeVries/Suess are just two.
Not only is there more than one solar cycle there are also lunar cycles

    Henry says
You did not get the link I gave that puts all in perspective.

there could also be a lunar explanation for the Dansgaard-Oeschger (DO) events.

Are the Dansgaard-Oeschger (D-O) Warm Events driven by Lunar Tides? by Ninderthan

    Henry says
    Lunar timing does not match
I doubt if lunar can have an effect

There are so many who cannot make the difference between climate and weather, so this kind of articles doesn’t surprise me at all. I would recommend them to take a look here and learn about climate and climate change: http://oceansgovernclimate.com/weather-and-climate-do-they-know-what-they-are-talking-about/.

      Even better: http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/world_biomes.htm
I don’t think too many biomes have changed – perhaps only where the glaciers have melted and forests have grown. In the recent past though, there has been no climate change whatsoever.

      • Gail Combs says:

For the mid west the area Henry P and I are talking about you can see a movement of the Köppen climatic boundaries of about 200 miles.

        http://www.sturmsoft.com/climate/suckling_mitchell_2000_fig2_3.gif

Köppen climate classification, ?widely used, vegetation-based empirical
climate classification system developed by German botanist-climatologist Wladimir Köppen. His aim was to devise formulas that would define climatic boundaries in such a way as to correspond to those of the vegetation zones (biomes) that were being mapped for the first time during his lifetime. Köppen published his first scheme in 1900 and a revised version in 1918. He continued to revise his system of classification until his death in 1940. Other climatologists have modified portions of Köppen’s procedure on the basis of their experience in various parts of the world….

We already know the moon (plus sun) influence the oceans. We call it tides. As I mentioned above there are longer term influences and one is the north south component.

      A bit more of interest:
The Moons’ influence on the atmosphere over Australia
Ian Wilson published a paper on the influence of the moon this is the discussion at Jo Nova’s.

      http://astroclimateconnection.blogspot.com.au/2011/11/el-ninos-and-extreme-proxigean-spring.html

I toss this out as an illustration of the type of stuff that the establishment just plain ignores.

      • Henry P says:

        @Gail
I do agree that the moon does help promote or prolong “mixing” of the heat of the ocean water, which, I think, at most, can shift the [solar] cycles up or down by a few years here and there,
but the warmth of the oceans is controlled primarily by incoming UV and IR, and,
in its turn, incoming UV is controlled – up to a certain degree – by the amount of ozone, peroxides and nitrogenous oxides formed TOA
        https://i2.wp.com/oi61.tinypic.com/ju7fw9.jpg
which, in its turn depend on the amount of the lowest wavelength particles coming from the sun.
Now is the time when the sun’s polar field strengths is at the lowest point in 87 years, so relatively more of the highest charged particles [lowest wavelength] can escape from the sun.
Ozone & others are now increasing TOA,
protecting earth from the [more] deadly radiation being released from the sun.
Don’t ever forget to wear a hat when going out in the sun and to cover your skin.
The sun is a silent killer.

10 Signs for spotting a sociopath
    http://www.naturalnews.com/036112_sociopaths_cults_influence.html

#9) Sociopaths never apologize. They are never wrong. They never feel guilt. They can never apologize. Even if shown proof that they were wrong, they will refuse to apologize and instead go on the attack.

“Gaslighting or gas-lighting is a form of mental abuse in which information is twisted or spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false information is presented with the intent of making victims doubt their own memory, perception, and sanity.[1][2] Instances may range simply from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents ever occurred, up to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim…

“Sociopaths frequently use gaslighting tactics. Sociopaths consistently transgress social mores, break laws, and exploit others, but typically, are also charming and convincing liars who consistently deny wrongdoing. Thus, some who have been victimized by sociopaths may doubt their perception.”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaslighting

    Doomsday cults 101.
“Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” – Voltaire

    • Gail Combs says:

My ex-husband and my ex-brother were both great at the gas-lighting form of mental abuse.

It has made me a very independent ornery cuss.

      • OrganicFool says:

        Good job at recognizing it.

“British film-maker Adam Curtis has suggested that “nonlinear” or “asymmetric” war (as described by Vladislav Surkov, political advisor to Vladimir Putin) is a form of gaslighting intended for political control.”

Politicians are commonly sociopaths. It has turned into a defacto State financed doomsday religion. Fear and scarcity, dependence, we will save you, give us your money and life. Independent thinking is ostracized. It would be a good analysis of the AGW belief system by a Socratic method. Sophism from what I understand is all about control and deception.

        • Gail Combs says:

Both corporate leaders and politicians tend to be sociopaths. Highly intelligent, charming, and devious chamaeleons, they have no problems stabbing ‘friends’ in the back when they are no longer useful or forming partnerships with other sociopaths when advantageous. Their morals are ‘fluid’ and they see morals and ethics as useful only as means for deceiving their prey.
          ……

Actually I was not the one who recognized the problem with my ex-husband and ex-brother. It was not one but three psychiatrists separately who were friends of my Mom. She spotted the problem and had me talk to them.
