September 8 Used To Be A Very Hot Day In The US

On September 8, 1925 almost 20% of the SS was over 100 degrees. Prior to 1960, hot temperatures on September 8 were quite common, but since 1960, the average has been about 2%.

On September 8, 1925 Pine Bluff Arkansas was 109 degrees, and several stations in Illinois were 105 degrees.
