The fake news never ends with these criminals, who make their living sucking money out of taxpayers wallets.

The doc you linked begins with:

Nairobi, 20 June 2008-There are now more than 11 million refugees worldwide, the United Nations refugee agency has warned as the world celebrates World Refugee Day.

A new report by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees(UNHCR)says conflicts, climate change and rising food prices are some of the factors leading to the rise in global displacement to 11.4 million refugees worldwide-up from 9.9 million last year.

Conflict is the driving factor. Unknown if there are any other factors.

  1. Latitude says:

Didn’t they move it up to 2020?….LOL

They might actually make it…if they keep destabilizing countries like they are doing

    • Eric Simpson says:

They will. The Crying Wolf loons began with 2000 as the doomsday year for climate refugees:

“Entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of eco-refugees, threatening political chaos.” -Noel Brown, ex UNEP Director, 1989

  2. Gail Combs says:

Even if we ‘flooded’ those areas (and the Dutch have been handling that problem for years**) we also open up a heck of a lot of Canada and Siberia and Greenland to farming.

These idiot keep forgetting the earth is BIG. We could fit all of us into the state of Texas.

**Half of the Netherlands would be regularly flooded by the sea. The earliest indications of dike building date from the late Iron Age.

This map is one of the biggest dumb-ass concoctions we’ve seen

The “refugee” areas allegedly subject to “draught and melting ice and permafrost” are essentially uninhabited. Huh – – no people, no refugees – – Who woulda thunk it?

And of course the “sea-level rise” predictions are demonstrably BS

That leaves only the “areas exposed to hurricanes”, which have been strikingly safe and quiet worldwide since 2005

As Limbaugh has phrased it, we’re experiencing a whole new kind of stupid from the Left (including all climate-change alarmists)

    • Gail Combs says:

They really are idiotic. They not only have the piedmont of the Appalachian mountains drowned, they have the entire mountain range!

      For example:
Raleigh, NC is 351 ft above sea level (124 miles from the sea)
      Durham, NC is 400 ft
Mebane is just west of Durham is 630 ft

Rocky Mount, NC, on the coastal plain and ~84 miles to the shore is still 123 ft above sea level.

(It is almost 2,600 miles coast to coast to give a bit of scale.)
Amazing how easy it is to trash their scare tactics without even going out side their parameters.

Even the the Late Eemian Aridity Pulse (LEAP) was only +6 m. (~20 feet) and not 200 feet and the Eemian was hotter than the Holocene.

Holocene on left and Eemian interglacial on right.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

That’s true, Jim, but when some wandering migrant bands come to these desolate areas they will not like the weather and they will leave again like true climate refugees.

And remember, the World Day of Migrants and Refugees is coming up in a few weeks and by January 20th there will be millions of desperate American Progressives on the move.

  4. RAH says:

It’s the UN! What do you expect? Now they’ve erased their claim for 2010 and reused the same map and now say it will happen in 2020. Trump has their number and I think quite a few Senators and Representatives will be with him:

Quite revealing that it took a journalist from an Asian news agency to even ask the simple question that revealed this.
