Ministry Of Truth Update

Newspeak was the official language of Oceania and had been devised to meet the ideological needs of Ingsoc, or English Socialism.

It was expected that Newspeak would have finally superseded Oldspeak (or Standard English, as we should call it) by about the year 2050.

The “myth” of global cooling was actually a unanimous consensus that earth was cooling.

Steve Schneider, global freezer in the 1970’s, claimed some years ago that he “always” believed Global Warming by CO2 in the air was the “top” climate issue. So did Rasool.

They pretty much denounced their dabbling in global freezing science and anybody else who did, too.

  2. CheshireRed says:

How many (current or ex) outright liars does the alarmist side have? Connolley, Schneider, Gleick, Pachuri, Strong and FoE to name a handful off the top of my head. Huge swathes of media, agitprop, politics, activism and rent-seeking business ‘execs’ all have fallen into line despite the truth. All with their noses in the trough. All being well ‘climate’ won’t be the only thing that’s cyclical and these clowns will find their gravy train shunted into the sidings of history very soon.

I did a bit more digging (and reading at the Tree-House) to get a handle on what is going on with the latest Ministry of Truth crud hitting the news.

    Now some meat comes out…

    First you need to know:

2008 John McCain funded by Soros since 2001

2014 John McCain Hangs Out with Old Pal George Soros in Switzerland

UK Guardian: Dec 2013 John McCain tells Ukraine protesters: ‘We are here to support your just Cause

Senator John McCain on Sunday told thousands of Ukrainian protesters camped on Kiev’s main square that Ukraine’s destiny lay in Europe and that it would make Europe better.

“Ukraine will make Europe better and Europe will make Ukraine better,” he said to crowds protesting against President Viktor Yanukovich’s U-turn in trade policy away from Europe towards Russia.

“We are here to support your just cause, the sovereign right of Ukraine to determine its own destiny freely and independently. And the destiny you seek lies in Europe,” said McCain….
    (wwwDOT)theguardian.com/world/2013/dec/15/john-mccain-ukraine-protests-support-just-cause

So McCain is a Soros puppet just like Hillary.

Next during the election, McCain and GOPe Never Trumpers hired the ‘MI6 former investigator’ and then the DNC got into the act. The report was so explosive that although it was shopped around to various MSM outlets during the election none would touch it. It was also given to various Congress Critters. (That was to support the anti-Russia legislation back in the spring of 2016)

Then McCain, living up to his name of Songbird, was picked to turn this ‘creative writing exercise’ over to the FBI. NOW, by having the intelligence community do the leak, it gave MSM outlets the cover of ‘reporting the news’ instead of spreading vicious gossip.

McCain Admits He Gave Dossier Containing “Sensitive Information” On Trump To The FBI

Sundance opines the chain of custody of the ‘Golden Shower’ fiction was

Chain of custody appears to be: Story originates in 4Chan. => Rick Wilson => Evan McMullin => John McCain => Intelligence Community => CNN

    The question becomes WHY???

And here is the answer to all the “RUSSIANS ARE COMING” idiocy.

Senate bill: S.2943-NDAA Act for 2017 (now law) sponsored by McCain prohibits Trump from allying with Russia vs ISIS until Ukraine joins NATO.

In other words it sets up WWIII in such a way that Trump’s hands are tied. However McCain/Soros still have to kill off Trump’s popularity and paint Russia as evil to get the war they are so set on.

Happy New Year Donbass: From Killer John McCain & Co.

…McCain, some will recall, was the top US cheerleader for the Maidan coup that unseated the standing Ukraine government and started the civil war that led to current west-east tensions. Now, with the Syria asymmetrical strategies thwarted, the Pentagon’s chief evangelist is back in Ukraine proclaiming the intentions of the military industrial complex he and Graham represent. What is most striking about McCain in Ukraine at this moment, is the clearly desperate nature of his visit….

The US Senator went on to address Russian President Vladimir Putin directly saying; “You will never defeat the Ukrainian people and deprive them of their independence and freedom.” He had sworn to provide Poroshenko’s troop whatever is necessary to defeat those in East Ukraine, in his visit to the bunker on the front lines already. The significance of the Arizona senator’s promises cannot be underestimated here, as the Minsk accords call for a strictly peaceful settlement, military victories having no place in the potential accord. McCain, his colleague Graham, and their constituents in Congress have done everything in their power to not only fun and promote ongoing conflict in the world, but they’ve joined the Obama administration in doing everything humanly possible to tie the hands of the incoming president. McCain, on behalf of the defense corporations that have supported him and Graham for decades now, is dead set on a war on Russia. This is not a matter for conjecture.

Legislation just signed by outgoing President Barack Obama is the latest, and possibly most damaging bit of “revenge” Obama casts at Putin and anti-hegemony advocates before leaving. S.2943 – the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 sponsored by McCain, contains words and constraints that in essence prohibit Donald Trump from allying with Russia against ISIL or any foe, until the former Ukraine falls into the NATO sphere. My colleague, geo-policy analyst Holger Eekhof delved into McCain’s efforts early in the drafting processes of this law. What he discovered was a hidden-in-plain-sight agenda that could lead to World War III. S.2943 states specifically:

“(Sec. 1233) Prohibits FY2017 funds from being used for bilateral military-to-military cooperation between the governments of the United States and Russia until DOD certifies to Congress that Russia has: (1) ceased its occupation of Ukrainian territory and its aggressive activities that threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization; and (2) is abiding by the terms of and taking steps in support of the Minsk Protocols regarding a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine. Permits a waiver under specified conditions.”

Furthermore, this “McCain-Obama” law approves funding for the continued training, funding and equipping of “Anti-Assad” forces inside war torn Syria. McCain and his colleagues also rubber stamped a plan for the taking and “holding” of the eastern Syria city of Raqqa in the oil rich regions bordering Kurdistan. The significance of the latter bears special scrutiny given that Aleppo and most of western Syria is being retaken by the legitimate government of Assad. Raqqa, for those unfamiliar, is the key to Syria’s only real wealth of oil. This is the crux of the Syria regime change after all, the fragmentation or destruction of an Israel foe, coinciding with a robbery of still more oil riches from Middle Eastern sovereign peoples. The well is too deep to discuss here, but McCain and Obama have achieved at least part of what I believe the mission was all along….

The rest of that story, from an eastern Europe perspective, is not nice.

And to think we had a choice of Obummer or McCain in 2008 — Shudder. I am glad I voted Ron Paul.

  5. Myron Mesecke says:

For not being a consensus it sure was taught in school. I graduated high school in 1980. I remember discussion taking place not just in science classes but many others too. History, social studies, government, all had discussions because if it was happening it would have profound consequences on all parts of society.

Now I don’t remember it being as frantic as global warming. They were still working on how to bring the media and the government into play and there was no internet or social media. So the rabid fever was less intense but the message was still there.

    • cdquarles says:

Hmm, as I recall it, the lame-stream media was rather frantic. Joe Public, though, wasn’t. Joe Public had closer-to-home economic issues to worry about. Once Joe Public put in RWR, who put in growth oriented tax and regulatory policies (WWII era oil price controls didn’t go away until his first term, if I am remembering correctly), those economic issues were largely resolved. Joe Public, again having Great Depression v2.0 close-to-home economic issues to worry about, put is DJT, who is putting growth oriented tax and regulatory policies as the solution.
[Why do we have to go through this crap? Oh, people either don’t know history or refuse to think about it. TR/WW started the big push to subsume business to government. WWI happens. Post-war crash comes, but Wilson, now out and replaced by Harding/Coolidge, do ‘nothing’ except let the bust happen and reduce taxes. The economy turns around in 12 or so months then booms (Europe bleeds gold to us for safety and they start ditching gold based money). Europe’s inflation and tariffs crunch their post-war economies. Versailles Treaty doesn’t help. Germany goes through a hyperinflation bust and gets a National Socialist in power … seeds now set for the second part of the Great War. That bleeds over to the US (pump and dump market crashes), tariff war gets started, US Fed tries to inflate us out and Hoover does the ‘stimulus’ plus tax hikes.

Yay, Great Depression 1.0, which if Hoover had followed Harding/Coolidge (still should have repealed the Fed … which is a Government Sponsored Enterprise, *not* a private banking corporation, designed to nationalize the banks … which is the only way the Federal Government could get its bonds turned into the monetary base), that contraction would have ended before 1931, and even with his policies, we were emerging from it in 1932. FDR, like his ‘progressive’ cousin Theodore, wanted ‘scientific’ socialism and doubled down on Hoover plus the fractional reserve induced bank runs allowed him to take gold out of circulation. FDR raised taxes even more and tried to ‘inflate’ us out of trouble.

I sense a pattern here. Then the war came … and the post-war boom that papered over the root causes. When that ran out of steam, JFK, taking a page out of Harding/Coolidge, lowered the war-time surtax rates (top at 96% but, effectively, no-one paid it) to 70%. The economy responded nicely (yet looked better than it was doing because of the hidden Fed inflation in place from the 30s plus the inflation from the other GSEs (FNMA & co)). The inflation finally became visible when Congress stopped coining silver. That, plus the fact that the US dollar has to be exported when it is the world’s trading reserve currency, put pressure on US government gold (taken from the people, remember). That required Congress in the Nixon era to replace Bretton Woods with the Petrodollar IMF + Fed gold US dollar we know today. That really made the inflation visible to Joe Public in the 70s.

Yet the distortion from the 1910s and 1930s reverberated. GSEs get disintermediated and kill the S&Ls. Carter brings in the Community Re-investment (not!) act. That helps disintermediate the S&Ls. They get sold/reorganized. Glass-Steagall, which in my opinion helped set this stage, gets repealed; but that wasn’t enough. All the GSEs need(ed) to go with it but that didn’t happen.

Remember, the Federal Government *wants* inflation. It benefits the government the most. The Fed, being its hammer over the remaining banks and investment companies (Wall and Main Street), pushes more inflation. Clinton, who inherited an economy that was slowly recovering from the previous tax increases, ratchets up taxes and regulations even more. The CRA gets expanded and the banks, under the Fed gun and the EEOC gun, are forced to comply or else. They comply and those that didn’t get sold to those that did. So the banks get the blame for bad laws and bad government policies (so no, ‘banksters’ weren’t the problem in the US (though history shows that many bankers did buy into scientific socialism) … they were following the law and regulatory orders to their logical conclusion (bust).

Recall that GWB wanted to rein in the GSEs but certain politicians in the Congress thwarted him, so if there are any that need to be jailed, it is these politicians. They and their pet policies created the mess (and the ‘outsourcing’ was directly related to the tax and regulatory policies to a greater extent than the trade deals).]

      • Gail Combs says:

        Clarification: Bankers run banks
        Banksters run the FED.
The Fed is a privately owned Central Bank brought to the USA by European bankers. It is what creates inflation and it is now COMPLETELY independent of ANY government control.

        THE ACCORD

Do bankers believe that they own the Federal Reserve banks.
        Yes.
100% of the “stock” is owned by the private banks. Also after instigating “the Accord” It was later revealed by testimony of some of the Federal Reserve officials to committees of Congress that the Open Market Committee had held a meeting on August 18 and decided not only to raise the discount rate, but to “go their own way” on the Government longer term bond rate as well, despite what the President, the Secretary of the Treasury, and the head of the Office of Defense Mobilization might do”….Therefore the Federal Reserve is not answerable to the President or Congress or the electorate, nor even to a government audit or even Congressional funding!….

Since the signing of the so-called accord, in March of 1951, this event has been widely interpreted as an understanding, reached between the Treasury and the Federal Reserve, that the Federal Reserve would henceforth be “independent.” It would no longer ” peg Government bond prices. It would raise or lower interest rates as it might see fit, as a means of trying to prevent inflation or deflation. These are understandings which have been grafted onto the accord over the years. Certainly, no such understandings were universal at the time the accord was signed. …. At the end of 1951, then, the Federal Reserve had both self-proclaimed independence, as a result of the accord, and an operational policy which aimed at maximum credit effects through minimum changes in interest rates….. the Federal Reserve people were quite sure that they could do a better job of running the country than the President, and with only slight increases in interest rates. … [ full details starting on pg 103]

        • cdquarles says:

A quibble, Gail. If the Federal Reserve was independent of government, then it makes no sense for these to things to be: 1. A Federal Act that created it and requires this corporation to report to Congress and 2. requires, by law, that this ‘independent’ corporation buy the notes and bonds issued by the Federal Government and cannot buy any other asset unless ordered to do so by law.

      • Jason Calley says:

Hey cdquarles! “(still should have repealed the Fed … which is a Government Sponsored Enterprise, *not* a private banking corporation, designed to nationalize the banks … which is the only way the Federal Government could get its bonds turned into the monetary base)”

That is an important point. Most people assume that the Fed is part of the government. Brighter people believe that the Fed is a private institution. The truth (in my opinion) is that the Fed is neither fish nor fowl; it is a quasi-public, quasi-private institution. Their web site says “dot gov” https://www.federalreserve.gov/ but they also have https://www.federalreserve.org/
Of course anyone who is familiar with the definition of the word “fascism” knows how the system works. So why do they have blended public/private attributes? Well, for one thing, it is a great way to shift blame. Complain to your politicians about the Fed and they will tell you that it is private and outside their control. Try to sue the Fed and the courts will tell you that it is public and has immunity. This rise of quasi-governmental organizations is seen all over and provides endless opportunities for graft. Politicians funnel huge amounts of tax dollars into these organizations where it becomes impossible to track where and to whom the money goes. In the case of the Fed, they can steer huge amounts of money back to the politicians. This is a sort of self-licking icecream cone where government, banksters, non-profits, universities, and big corporations blend together at the upper levels to create a giant vacuum cleaner sucking money and power to themselves.

Most people never realize what is going on, and the schools certainly don’t teach it. Finding accurate information about money (where it comes from, who controls it, how it is circulated) in a university is almost impossible.

International Team of Specialists Finds No End in Sight to 30‐Year Cooling Trend in Northern Hemisphere

“The report, prepared by German, Japanese and American specialists, appears in the Dec. 15 issue of Nature, the British journal. The findings indicate that from 1950 to 1975 the cooling, per decade, of most climate indexes in the Northern Hemisphere was from 0.1 to 0.2 degrees Celsius, roughly 0.2 to 0.4 degrees Fahrenheit.”

The Florida orange juice industry marched itself nearly 100 miles south due to the myth of global cooling. It had absolutely nothing to do with the almost yearly devastating Florida freezes that took place during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Repeated freezes that were as severe as any going back 100 years. Freezes that destroyed entire groves north of Tampa and Orlando.

The myth of global cooling is also the reason why the citrus industry was totally abandoned in Citrus County, FL!
