Amount Of Old/Thick Sea Ice Has Doubled Since 2009

Government experts say that the oldest/thickest Arctic sea ice is disappearing.

As is invariably the case with government climate scientists, they are lying. The amount of multi-year ice in the Arctic has doubled over the past eight years.

2009   2017

Many government climate scientists are paid to misinform the public. The best way to end this is to stop paying them.

  1. It won’t be enough to defund the government “Climate Scientists”. We need to defund their buddies at corrupt universities such as Penn State.

We also need to defund the UN and the corrupt IPCC.

You have left out a word. The second sentence should read:
“We also need to defund the corrupt UN and the corrupt IPCC.”

I agree with that, but those are politicos. The crisis is in the western University system!
Defund all of that western University system as true caring parents notice that the University truly screws over helpless offsprouts! Back to ‘weed the strawberry plants or get no dinner’! After successfully weeding the strawberry plants, that same offsprout can recognize that the UNIVERSITY is screwing both them and their parents. Beware the young and passionate, with good eyes that aim correctly!

Start with the University of Bezerkley. (UC Berkeley Receives $370 Million in Federal Funding, More Than Half Its Budget) In 2013 the federal government spent ~ $76 billion on higher education. On average, the federal government provided nearly $2,100 in Pell funding for every full-time-equivalent student in 2013. A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid. The Federal Pell Grant Program provides ‘need-based’ grants to low-income undergraduate and certain postbaccalaureate students to promote access to postsecondary education. Total university-performed R&D now surpasses $55 billion a year.

If you look at what has happened to the University system it is nothing but a YUGE scam.

Major increase in tuition funded by Student Loans that hook kids to the parasitic FED from the get go.

Do those funds go to the profs??? No they go to the ever expanding Uni Bureaucracy.

Yes, the old thick sea ice has disappeared.

all the scientific observers, NASA, Russia, Denmark, all scientific observation shows this.

We have satellites, radar flights over the ice, submarine sonar, buouys, people camped out on the ice, etc providing masses of evidence.

Saying that is all lies is no kind of argument.

You can look at the satellite photos showing open water in the Beaufort Sea in summer for last 2 years and work out that means no ice survived there to become multi-year ice in the central arctic.

    Here’s the Russian data

Not all of that old ice has survived more than one summer, nor is it as thick as the 3 metres plus which used to be standard for old ice… there’s barely any 3m ice left

and see this, especially figure 4 showing MYI decline

“A combination of satellite and submarine data has been used to estimate a decrease of average ice thickness in the central Arctic from 3.64m to 1.89m over the period 1980 to 2008 which gives an approximate average rate of thinning of 60cm per decade. ”

Tony – You seem be awfully confused? Please explain how the animation you display above supports your assertion that:

“The amount of multi-year ice in the Arctic has doubled over the past eight years.”.

    Thanks in anticipation.

Tony, I appreciate when you add the source links, too often I have linked directly to your site in a comment or blog when debating a warmist and they immediately dismiss you as FFI-funded.
