This is going to get really ugly. Trump backers believe Trump and leftists believe the deeps state and the MSM. The fight to get to the bottom of it all of this is going to extended and dirty because now neither side can walk back their claims without suffering significant damage.

naw….too many people in this country have short attention span

The theater is going to be funny though….Trump just posted Obama whispering to Russia he would have more wiggle room after the election

      • Gail Combs says:

“…too many people in this country have short attention span…”

Those are the people on the left. Ordinary people once awake do not go back to sleep. I was amazed at how many people had an indepth knowledge of the Federal Reserve, fiat currency and fractional reserve banking after the bank bailouts. That is NOT the conversation you expect in rural middle of nowhere in a store that looked like this:

RAH, ugly was inevitable after Clinton called Trump supporters Deplorables and then Trump won the election. It is how progressives behave.
Look at the violence and personal injuries to Trump supporters yesterday in Berkeley. Look at the Sessions kerfuffle hyperbole last week in DC. Look at the ongoing deep state leaks from swamp critters. Look at the wailing in LA when an illegal Mexican with prior criminal convictions and a 2014 deportation order is finally tracked down and nabbed by ICE.
But, it is useful because it is exposing the true nature of Dems and progressives.
Deplorables are taking note. The 2018 byelection cannot come soon enough. 60 Republicans in Senate would truly be game over. Ginsberg is 84 and in ill health. She will be 86 in 2019.

      • RAH says:

A pox on all their houses and especially Obama’s with Valarie Jarrett in it. There are times these days when I almost wish for a real shootin war to break out so I could pick up my black rifle and help end this shit! Winston Churchill once said something like Jaw Jaw is always better than war war. But then again he wasn’t necessarily talking about the civil kind. Gun sales over the last 8 years, which BTW have dropped off since Trump became president, certainly indicates there are others that have thought it may come down to that.

Used to be a competitive markman in the Army. Shot competitive trap for many years. Reload all my own ammo. Also own 4 black powder rifles and three black powder pistols. Have quite the armory. My 44 mag Blackhawk revolver was used by a family friend Green Beret on two Nam tours. His personal extra equilizer. They would parachute in at night to interdict Ho Chi Min trail. One of my fav rifles is a Rem 700 heavy barrel bedded synthetic stock 0.223 with bipod. 14 power variable scope. Can take a groundhog at 600 yards (longest field on the farm) with handloads. The commercial loads are crap at that range.

As long as people are not held accountable they won’t stop with this.

And as long as there is no executive order which declares every politician who attacks your constitution, trying to take away sovereignity or is participating in secret multicorporate/multinational meetings fair game
to be punish instantly by the people,
    nothing will ever change.

Innuendo, out-of-context factoids, and straight up lying. US MSM at its finest. The rest of the world must be laughing their heads off at the on-going charade. Nothing substantive will come of any of this far-fetched nonsense.

    • Gail Combs says:

“….Nothing substantive will come of any of this far-fetched nonsense.”

Except a hardening of the voters disgust with the DC Swamp. Time to scare-up decent challengers to ALL elective offices open in the 2018 election.

  7. RAH says:

Just for fun I turned to the Fox News Channel to get a feel for their spin. What struck me was how they say the President must provide his source for the allegation of wire tapping. Here the same butt heads that without question run with stories with unnamed sources from the NYT and WP are demanding sources from the POTUS! Fox News is hardly better than MSNBC these days when it comes to their journalistic practices. They are gossip mongers just like the rest running claims without a strand of facts in evidence to justify them.

    • Winnipegboy says:

I think fox is swinging to the left as well. They would still be on the right of the sprctrum but moving to the center. I have no clue why they would do that after the past 6 months. Poor strategy.

  8. CheshireRed says:

The BBC ran with this story this morning and just as the NYT have done, very prominently lead with the ‘offering no evidence’ line. They didn’t stress the allegations were incredibly serious and potentially damaging for Obama’s legacy, oh no. It was all-out ‘get Trump’ territory.

  9. Douglas Hoyt says:

Flynn’s phone was wiretapped. I wonder if he was using a landline in Trump Tower at the time? No one seems to have asked.

  10. stpaulchuck says:

this was a quid pro quo wire tap. Soros and Obysmal had some Euroweenie spy services do the tap. Now the Americans can truthfully deny doing the wire tap. We do the same for them from time to time. It is ‘legal’ in the sense that you are tapping foreign interests which is part of your purview.

The LSM and the Obamabots are turning this into a “depends on the meaning of the word is, is” moment to confuse the cheap seats at home.

The Left now has a bit of a problem as this guy becomes a hero and people get organized.

      Max Kennedy has good comments

Here is what the left plans before each of these, everything already in place:
      1. rioters instructed in how to riot and get away with it.
      2. men in the middle to help them get away
      3. sometimes corrupt police
      4. lawyers already ready (miracle the left never gets charged with conspiracy to commit crimes – Project Veritas has come close to what is needed to document)
      5. sometimes corrupt judges

      To counteract you need:
      1. Defenders instructed to defend and in their rights
      2. men in the middle to stop other men in the middle (I’m serious!)
      3. citizens arrest – to force police to do job if corrupt or to do citizen thing if not. alternative – make official private security of event – volunteer
      4. lawyers already in place
      5. your lawyer’s knowledge of local judges, etc.

do it right. you are only counteracting them on one level that way. We have professional lawyers in our movement. They might want to get in on the rumble too to get the crooked lawyers.

At the bottom of the NYT Jan 19th piece, in very small print, it says:

A version of this article appears in print on January 20, 2017, on Page A1 of the New York edition with the headline: “Wiretapped Data Used in Inquiry of Trump Aides.”
