Temperatures in Greenland’s interior have ranged from -25C to -60C in 2018. Meanwhile, our top climate experts believe Greenland is melting, and are proposing geoengineering schemes to destroy the environment and stop the imaginary melting inside their heads.

Hmm? I suppose ice is melting at minus 60 C. Too cold for ice. Crazy scientists.
Where’s the picture of the 9th hole at Eric the Red National Golf Course?
It’s hard any more for me to believe that they are that dumb, and easier to accept that they are “denying” scientific evidence in order to pursue certain political power ends.
I don’t understand the point you are making here. The temperature record shown is from Summit Station. That’s at the “apex” of the Greenland ice sheet, roughly in the center. What does that tell us? It is not representative of Greenland. It’s not where the melting is occuring.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summit_Camp
See the National Snow Ice Data Center for details about Greenland’s melting (highly variable from year to year).
http://nsidc.org/greenland-today/
The Danish Meteorological Institute website is also useful. “The calving loss is greater than the gain from surface mass balance, and Greenland is losing mass at about 200 Gt/yr.”
https://www.dmi.dk/en/groenland/maalinger/greenland-ice-sheet-surface-mass-budget/
The vast majority of the Greenland ice sheet is at high altitude. The “Summit” is not a summit at all. It is a large nearly flat plain like western Kansas. DMI reported that Greenland gained ice last year.
“The vast majority of the Greenland ice sheet is at high altitude.”
If Wikipedia is correct, the mean elevation of the Greenland ice sheet is 2,135 meters. Summit Station is at 3,216 meters (50% above average elevation). Plus, it is in the center of the ice sheet.
You show a temperature record that is not where the melting is occurring — and unlike those areas (which are southern and lower). If you believe it is representative of the melt areas, than show the data. Your claim of ” imaginary melting inside their heads” is a bold one, but what’s shown does not seem relevant.
“DMI reported that Greenland gained ice last year.”
Yes, weather varies from year to year. DMI also gave the trend: “Greenland is losing mass at about 200 Gt/yr.”
DMI makes no measurements of total mass. That statement is based on hearsay from notoriously bad academic interpretations of GRACE gravity data. Greenland is not melting down.
Grace measures gravity fluctuations over a known volcanic regions. Not a good idea.
Using grace, they used to say the Antarctic was melting, but real studies showed that to be monumentally wrong.
This graph shows the Total Greenland Ice Mass since 1900 even when you take the GRACE data as given. Think what it means.
Whoops that’s an old graph where I made a calculation error.
This is more correct from available data.
It’s really not difficult to determine. If there was significant melting of the Greenland or Antarctic ice sheets there would be a noticable increase in the rate of SLR. There isn’t.
I know from personal experience that the speculative GRACE-based 200 Gt/year annual ice loss in Greenland sounds frightening to folks. I have some progressive neighbors who like to throw numbers around they saw on Democratic Underground and they told me the ice sheet will be gone in no time.
I will not even get into the amount of heat necessary to do that but here is a basic primer for anyone interested.
Andy’s graph gives a good visual what this speculative ice loss would mean as a volume change of the entire Greenland ice sheet over the last century.
And here’s a back of an envelope calculation what it means to sea level rise: *)
The speculative ice loss of 200 gigatonnes comes to 2E+14 kg or 2E+11 cubic meters. If the area of the world oceans is 360 million square kilometers, i.e. 3.6E+14 square meters then the expected seal level rise would be about 0.55 mm SLR annually (I think the IPCC estimate is even lower).
No wonder we can’t see it or measure it even if it was true.

Hi Tony, I’ve been following your videos over the past 2 years.
You mentioned geoengineering in this blog post. Do you think there’s truth to Dane Wigington’s claims of massive geoengineering in progress vis-a-vis things like chemtrails/spraying?
