SMH Suffers Through Their Stupidest Day On Earth

SMH says 47C iwas the hottest day on Earth, and animals are falling out of trees due to “climate disruption”

California was 57C in 1913, 10C warmer than yesterday’s claimed record. Bourke, NSW was 48C on this date in 1896.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported animals falling helpless from the heat on January 14, 1896.

Australia had their worst heatwaves  during January 1896.

TimesMachine: August 18, 1896

Bourke had 18 days over 110 degrees that month.

Maximum temperatures at Bourke that month were 49C.

The standard operating procedure of left wing journalists is to “simply make things up.” And only a complete moron would believe that cold is now caused by heat.

How much more evidence do the skeptics need (another Hockey Stick graph?) that the climate has now warmed to such a degree, that the:

Sahara Desert covered in 15 inches of SNOW as freak weather blankets sand dunes.

HEAVY snow has covered the Sahara Desert in a freak winter weather storm.

More than 15 inches (40cm) has blanketed sand dunes across the small town of Ain Sefra, Algeria.

It is the second time snow has hit in nearly 40 years, with a dusting also recorded in December 2016.

But this snowfall which hit yesterday, is much deeper than the fleeting shower little more than a year ago.

Locals, who endure temperatures of 37C in summer, were stunned as dense snow settled on the town, known as ‘the gateway to the desert’.

This should not be breaking on CNN or MSNBC within the next 24 hours, that ‘Winter Snows vanish in the Sahara in record time”. But remember, you saw it here first!

So “climate disruption” is the next stage of “climate change” indoctrination+
a cold anomalie that has happened many times before and killed millions of reptiles in the past thousand years
is now proof of climate change(and warming of course) though this anomalie must not exist according to this experts.

repent sinners and pay co2 tax,
repent heretics and worship your modern age allah

Hot, cold or anything else in between, it is all the fault of your SUV and the angry straight, white male deniers that voted for Trump!

  3. gator69 says:

Unlike gators, iguanas are not native to Florida…

According to the Sun Sentinel, iguanas arrived in Florida as pets, and once they escaped or were freed by their owners, first moved into Miami-Dade County in 1966, then to the Keys in 1995, before making a home of Broward County in 2001 and in Palm Beach in 2003.

This has been happeneing since these pets took up residency…

Green iguanas, like most reptiles, are coldblooded animals, so they become immobile when the temperature falls to a certain level, said Kristen Sommers of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Under 50 degrees Fahrenheit, they become sluggish. Under 40 degrees, their blood stops moving as much, Sommers said.

They like to sit in trees, and “it’s become cold enough that they fall out.”

This is not a new phenomenon — there were similar reports in 2008 and 2010 — though it is not typical.

And trying to save an invasive species is not always the best idea…

Maxine Bentzel, a reporter at CBS12 News, suggested that “iguanas have a good chance of thawing out if you move them into the sun.”

The experts would prefer you didn’t. Sommers said the reptiles could become frightened as they warm.

“Like any wild animal, it will try to defend itself,” she said… Ron Magill of the Miami Zoo told WPLG TV in 2010 about a man who collected sleeping (“frozen”) iguanas and threw them into the back of his station wagon… “All of a sudden these things are coming alive, crawling on his back and almost caused a wreck.”

    • RAH says:

Had a good sized one with a nice long tail hanging around down at Port Charlotte at my Mom & Dads snowbird haven. While I was down there I would leave it fruit out on the sea wall. Then a couple days later I went out to lower the boat into the water and the boat and one of the covered motors on the boat lift started making a terrible noise. Out from under the plastic casing covering the motor and the works came that iguana with most of his tail gone. He didn’t hang around our place anymore.

      • Richard Keen says:

Sounds like a bit of Reptile Dysfunction, eh?
Same thing that did in the dines.
BTW, I used to live in Panama where iguanas are native. We’d eat them. They taste more like chicken than most chickens.

  4. RAH says:

Of course according to he Aussie MET their temperature history started in 1910.
And then there is the fact that they admitted they made a mistake:
And there is the fact that their automatic remote systems are taking 1 second readings and they don’t filter the noise out of them.

    Speaking of stupid:

Climate Change and the Iranian Protests

Jimmy Carter’s energy policy was to tell people to “wear a sweater,” President Obama’s energy policy was to build Quixotic Wind and Solar farms and force everyone to buy extremely expensive, dangerous eco-unfriendly energy efficient light bulbs. President Trump’s energy policy doubles as a National Security Policy and will result in more abundant, greater diversity, and cheaper energy for America and the world. The secondary benefit is a bankrupt Iran, Russia and North Korea, and greater freedom, peace, and hope around the World. What will be the contribution of the AGW Liberals? To fight president Trump every opportunity they can get. Liberals are simply a Tyrant’s best friend.

  6. Larry Geiger says:

The south end of Florida sits right on the edge of the tropical zone. Because Florida is a peninsula and not an island (like the rest of the Caribbean) it still gets occasional freezes. People in Florida like to plant non-native palms that they think look like the “real” Florida. Every 3 to 5 years the tropical palms freeze and die. The transplanted northerners always gripe and complain that cabbage palms just don’t have the right “look”. Oh well. The line moves north and south through the decades. There used to be citrus all along the turnpike north of Orlando. Now it’s all planted pines on the hills. A couple of cold winters and the citrus all moved south. You can’t fool Mother Nature.

    • Phil. says:

More likely due to the devastating effects of ‘greening’.

      • gator69 says:

Greening is not what moved the groves south, greening only showed up in Florida 12 years ago. What killed off the commercial groves of north Florida was the December 1989 freeze.

Some great historical perspective can be found here…—floridas-worst-freezes.html

        • Phil. says:

I was referring to the disappearance of citrus near Orlando. My family who lives near there tell me that the ‘greening’ has been having a devastating effect there.

          • gator69 says:

It has, but that is a recent issue. My father was a seventh generation Floridian, and I just returned from a visit to Tampa and the Gainesville area. I used to bring home hundreds of pounds of free citrus every year, that I picked each Christmas near my mother’s home north of Ocala. This year the only good free citrus was the lemons off my mother’s tree.

Before the freeze of 1989, you could see Orange Lake from my parents’ property. Then the grove owners bulldozed their groves and let the oaks, maples and sweet gums grow up, blocking the view.

    • Andy DC says:

The citrus industry was thriving around Jacksonville in 1900. As late as 1980, much of it was north of Orlando. But that is no longer the case. There is no longer citrus grown in Citrus County.

Climate scientists can and do lie, but orange trees do not. They are telling us that the climate has gotten colder, not warmer.

      • Latitude says:

Mid 1800’s there were citrus groves as far north as N. Carolina….what they grew and called “citrus” is not what we are growing now…..we are growing mostly for juice, which is not as cold tolerant. There are tons of citrus that are cold hardy, way below freezing. Tangerines, stasumas, kumquats, Japanese yuzu…..hardy lemon can take temps below 0

Note the massive commercial and residential built-up

And yet, it was NO WARMER than 1939.

It seems global COOLING has basically cancelled out the MASSIVE UHI warming effect.

    • Robert B says:

The warmer temp was at Richmond airfield a bit further north.

      • BruceC says:

The Richmond RAAF Base has only been reporting since the 2nd World War (1942).

However, the Richmond Post Office has a continuous record since 1895.

        • Robert B says:

Look at the link supplied above. BOM have Richmond RAAF opened in 1928. Their site says that the Royal Australian Air Force base at /richmond was opened in 1925.

        • BruceC says:

Mmm, interesting. It also states it closed on 31st Oct 1994, yet it still supplies data to GHCN to this day.

      • BruceC says:

To the best of knowledge, Richmond Airport has only been in operation since around 2000.

        • Geoff Sherrington says:

Do you mean airport or weather station?
I flew out of RAAF Richmond in 1959.
Or are you distinguishing between Richmond RAAF airport and a civil one? Your comment confuses me? Geoff

  11. Taphonomic says:

“Climate disruption” appears to be the new, in vogue term for “weather”.

  12. Robertv says:

Germany’s would-be coalition partners have agreed to drop plans to lower carbon dioxide emissions by 40 percent from 1990 levels by 2020
Both parties had also agreed that the share of renewable energy in Germany’s electricity consumption should rise to 65 percent by 2030 from roughly a third last year.
Negotiators also agreed to cut the tax on electricity in order to reduce energy costs
They also plan to tender an extra 4 gigawatts of solar energy as well as onshore and offshore wind-generating capacity
The two sides want to stick to an already-agreed climate protection deal which foresees a commission to submit plans for an exit from coal-fired energy by the end of the year.

Merkel’s conservatives and the SPD also agreed to raise the threshold for the top income tax rate of 42 percent to 60,000 euros ($72,000) a year from a current 53,700 euros, another source said.

    So what could go wrong!

  13. Louis Hooffstetter says:

Obama’s election marked “the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow”.
But Trump’s election marks the end of global warming!

  14. Texas sharp-shooter says:

OMG! Its almost as if it can be warm and cold at the same time at different places on Earth! And this strange phenomenon may have something to do with these places being in something they call Northern and Southern hemisperes. Just weird.

Just remember you heartless, deplorable bastards. Iguanas are people too! That iguana has a mother. Presumably the kind who doesnt eat her young. Which proves Catastrophic Global Wet/Dry Hot/Cold. There i explained that for you.
