Arctic Meltdown Update

Early in life I had noticed that no event is ever correctly reported in a newspaper.

  • George Orwell

Arctic sea ice volume is normal, and highest in 13 years.

Polar temperatures are far below normal and below the freezing point.

Greenland’s surface has gained 600 billion tons of ice since last September 1.

Meanwhile, the press and scientific community continues to tell the exact opposite fake news. Ending this scam will be slow with criminals in control of the flow of information.

Uh oh! Greenland SMB is taking off again! That keeps up and all the lies and adjustments in the world will not be able to cover up what is really happening.

  2. AndyG55 says:

    WOW, earlier than I thought

DMI sea ice volume has just leapfrogged over both 2006 and 2007

There is now more sea ice than EVERY year back to and including 2006. !

    • Steven Fraser says:

Yes, now #4 for DMI sea ice volume for the date. The reason… the decline rate this year has been way lower than all the other years DMI has reported. 2018 is cutting across the lines that are not plotted, and currently is hidden behind the icj ‘average’ line.

The cirrent value is 102.2% of the 16-year average, and 101.3% of the plotted range of 2004-2013.

The year above 2018 in the chart for the 4th is 2005, a gap of 1762.

As mentioned previously, the last year to cut across in this fashion was 2014, which is on the plot. It will be interesting to see how this year compares.

      Stay tuned!

WOW, a few days earlier than I expected

DMI Arctic sea ice volume, 2018 has just leapfrogged over 2006 and 2007.

Now more sea ice than ALL year back to and including 2006.

  4. Steven Fraser says:

AndyG: The current decline rate for 2005 is 100 cu km/ day faster than 2018.

  5. Lasse says:

    Tipping point is no more.

Tony, one of the posts your site inspired in being featured over on WUWT. Thanks for the idea, the post has really caught on at multiple sites. Your site triggers some of my best ideas. Can’t thank you enough. Keep fighting the good fight.

Ocean indicators suggest CO2 isn’t the strongest driver of climate

    • neal s says:

Isn’t some of the supposed ocean warming, due to relying on ship intake temperature measurements rather than just a network of ocean bouys? Or just another way to ‘cook the books’.

    • Squidly says:

      CO2 isn’t a “climate driver” at all

  7. Christopher Korvin says:

re George Orwell`s comment…………Long before George Orwell, Oscar Wilde quipped “If you don`t read the papers you are uninformed, and if you do read them you are misinformed”

    • Steve Parker says:

No, I believe that is accurate, or at least close. Joe Bastardi has been talking about that. Still a relatively cold start to the year overall though.

    • Louis Hooffstetter says:

Yep. Ice in the Arctic is well above average , and we’ve had a cool spring in most parts of the country, yet somehow NOAA reports that May 2018 is the hottest EVAH!

      • Griff says:

Volume is showing as higher than in recent years for the time of year…

while extent is still second lowest for the same time series.

        • AndyG55 says:

Poor little griff doesn’t understand that extent is driven by weather. And this year the ice has been packed into thick ice that is going to be really hard to melt

Hey griff, did you see the big downward trend in yearly sea ice melt??

Or are you going to IGNORE FACTS as you always do.

          Griff is IGNORANT.. always.

        • AndyG55 says:

Not only is DMI 2018 volume ABOVE every year since 2005..

it also has the 2nd LOWEST “melt from maximum” of the WHOLE DMI volume data.

No wonder Arctic sea ice HATERS like griff are PANICKING :-)

  8. Eric Simpson says:

Looks like now there’s much more Arctic ice than on this date of last year.

And now there’s much more Arctic ice than on this date in 2016.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2015.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2014.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2013.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2012.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2011.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2010.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2009.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2008.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2007.

And now there’s more Arctic ice than on this date in 2006.

That’s runaway out of control global warming for you. We need to cut CO2 to the bone before the Arctic gets even more ice, as ice is cold!!

  9. R2Dtoo says:

Tomorrow’s high in Churchill MB is 5C – overnight low is -1C with snow possible. Hudson Bay isn’t going to open up very early at that rate.

    • AndyG55 says:

      Last 10,00 years, griff

FACE FACTS.. Arctic sea ice is in the TOP 10% of the Holocene

Stop your childish Climate Change DENIAL.
