Hit -8 F very for a very brief time on my truck thermometer in a dip just west of Cambridge, ON this morning . As I went further west on the 401 it quickly warmed.

  3. DCA says:

Great Lakes ice cover is at 69% and continuing upward, cruising past last year’s maximum, which was above average.

After a relative low period around the year 2000, the annual maximums appear to be headed back in the direction of the 1970s.

All these record cold temperatures are due to global warming of course. We need to cool this boiling planet down so we don’t all freeze to death. /

It’s been very cold and snowy here in New Hampshire. Our low temperatures rarely get above the single digits, and into next week, low temperatures are forecast to be between 1F and 9F, and highs below 30F. My yard still has feet of snow, with more on the way Sunday. Where’s Spring???
