    I would have to agree with “The hottest year on Record” claim. February 2021 A Frost Fair on the frozen Thames river in London and ice skating on the canals of Amsterdam. Sounds perzackly’ like the coldest “Hot” years of the Maunder minimum, mid 1600’s well before Western civilization had a chance to pump all that Co2 into the atmosphere in the 18 and 19 hundreds. Maybe it’s akshully’ something to do with cyclical solar activity. Man made, Co2 induced global warming, may still be, after all, just a hypothesis and as yet unproven. There may be a lot of “Climate Scientist” out there with bad cases of indigestion, because they swallowed whole, a theory that was still indigestible, despite it’s so called, Fait Accompli status.

    The sky is definitely falling. I saw it on the news. Chicken Little Brain

    Let’s see 2001, temp 1 C above average, 2004 temp 1 C above average, 2008 temp 1 C above average, 2012, temp 1 C above average, 2018, 1 C above average, 2020, 1 C above average. Is there a trend here? It’ll always be the hottest year ever because they believe it is. Never mind that guy behind the curtain fixing the data.

    Here in Austin it’s snowing 4 inches and we won’t see temps above freezing until Wednesday and even then, it will only be for a couple hours (not sure it will be enough to melt the snow). Cars were sliding off the roads and there was a 133-car pileup in Dallas the other day because there’s not enough salt trucks to handle the surprise frigid conditions across the state. We have no infrastructure to deal with this much snow and ice. Also, we get 22% of our power from wind farms, but currently many of the windmills are offline, frozen in place: https://www.texastribune.org/2021/02/14/texas-rolling-blackouts/. Ouch!

    There is no such thing as “settled” science. It is always subject to refutation of hypothesis and theory by observation, or failure to predict. Climate Change hypothesis of CO2 as driver has been refuted dozens if not hundreds of times – yet the hypothesis is not discarded or revised – Hence it (Climate Change Cult) is not science but rather politics or a political agenda.

    from the above website search:
    2020 = 400 Skeptical Papers
    2019 = 440 Skeptical Papers
    2018 = 500 Skeptical Papers
    2017 = 485 Skeptical Papers; etc. etc.

    Furthermore the elephant in the room regards climate is the disparity between the heat capacity of the atmosphere vs the heat capacity of the oceans. The oceans have 1,000 times more heat capacity than does the atmosphere. Hence even a grade school understanding of math shows if the oceans warm or cool by 0.001 degree on average, this means they can warm or cool the atmosphere by 1 degree on average.

    Likewise the 400 pound gorilla in the room is water vapor in the atmosphere. Even the propaganda admits it is 4 times more powerful as a “greenhouse gas” which is a stupid term, but let’s stick with the Climate Cult’s terminology – 4 times more powerful, but they fail to mention it is at an average of 20,000 ppm to 30,000 ppm while CO2 is only at 400 ppm. Again grade school math reveals water vapor is 20,000/400*4= 200 times more of a “greenhouse gas” than is CO2! CO2 effect on earth’s temperature is at least 100 to 200 times less than the effect of water vapor on temperature.

    CO2 is not a pollutant but rather the essence of Life. Without it there would be no life on this planet. (actually below 150 ppm of CO2 there would be no life as plants require this as minimum) Anyone who argues it is bad or polluting or harmful, is in fact a misanthrope and wants to commit mass genocide by banning fossil fuels with their Cult of Thermaggeddon!

      .001 warmer ocean can only warm the atmosphere .001 degree.

    Hi Tony,

    FYI: With skating on the canals of the Netherlands happening this year, I though you might be interested in this link:

    Elfstedentocht

    The Elfstedentocht is a long-distance tour skating event on natural ice, almost 200 kilometres (120 mi) long, which is held both as a speed skating competition (with 300 contestants) and a leisure tour (with 16,000 skaters).

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elfstedentocht

    Dutch Speedskaters Waited 24 Years for Canals to Freeze. Then the Pandemic Froze Their Dream Race.

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/dutch-speedskaters-canals-elfstedentocht-pandemic-11612994859

    There are many dates in the Wiki article and long periods between the races, so I thought you might be able to make sense of the dates in relation to other things happening around the world at the same times.

    No doubt global warming will make more of these races possible in the future, by some convoluted logic. (lol)
