Artificial Stupidity

A general misunderstanding of computers and their limitations is at the core of climate alarmism.

If ChatGPT uses Google search result style and valuates them by ranking then bias can be the only option.
As BS in = BS out.

2 days ago I just tried to find out wether habours are warmer than the sea (and by how much) – nothing climate relates.
All I got was AGW propaganda,be it sea level rise, climate change and warmer oceans as result of climate change, heatwaves.

When specific trigger words had been weaponised to prioritize specific results than
the AI will deliver woke results.

Btw: what Collossus says at 0:38 is pretty much the situation we are already in.
Those who do not obey(they haven’t centralised the necessary power so far to give people the standard commie treatment ) people are being attacked, are losing their jobs, regimes are changed, countries attacked.

  2. ‘Artificial intelligence’ is the over-hyped BS that attracts funds from the stupid, just as Kepler got funding for his research by claiming he could produce superior horoscopes. I am still awaiting a rigorous definition of intelligence. In what units do we measure it? What is the measurable unit of ‘intelligence’? Until those questions are answered, all we are dealing with are algorithms that adapt to changing data and solutions which are more efficiently achieved through servomechanism theory. But grandiose claims get grandiose budgets, because the purse strings are held by idiots.

Chat GPT is just replacing Wiki at gathering and facts and fantasies and indiscreetly homogenizing them.

    • arn says:

      good observation,
though I think it is not about replacing wiki but an additional propaganda tool.

Wiki is facebook while ChatGP is instagram
and a new level of excuse.
While wikipedia can be criticized for being lefti biased(as happened by one of wikis founders) ChatGP will alway have the cheap excuse:
An artificial AI can not be biased(as long as it confirms our bias and is not programmed by Putin and Trump)

And here we have 2 conclusions an AI will never be able to reach on its own.

(btw -wasn”t washington called rome in the beginning?
Seems Rome and the East India Companies never ceased to exist)

And here Food and Pharma tagteaming to create demand(exactly the same way climate science works(3:00- 4:11)

  4. GWS says:

How many ‘authoritative sources’ can they create to back up their propaganda with ‘facts?’

    Great video Tony!

As requested, here’s a ChatGPT session with your question answered:

    (me)
    Hello

Hello! How may I assist you today?

    (me)
Please tell me about China’s progress on climate change and green energy?

China has made significant progress in recent years on climate change and green energy. Here are some key points:

Renewable energy: China has become a world leader in renewable energy, particularly in solar and wind power. It is the largest producer of solar panels and wind turbines in the world, and it has installed more renewable energy capacity than any other country. In fact, in 2020, China accounted for almost half of the world’s newly installed renewable energy capacity.

Carbon emissions: China is the world’s largest emitter of carbon dioxide, but in recent years, it has taken significant steps to reduce its carbon emissions. In September 2020, President Xi Jinping announced that China would aim to reach peak carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060. This is a significant commitment, as it means China will have to drastically reduce its reliance on fossil fuels and increase its use of renewable energy sources.

Clean energy investment: China has also become a major investor in clean energy technologies. In 2020, it invested over $80 billion in renewable energy, which is more than any other country. This investment has helped to drive down the cost of renewable energy and make it more competitive with fossil fuels.

Energy efficiency: China has also made significant progress in improving energy efficiency. It has implemented energy efficiency standards for buildings, appliances, and vehicles, which has helped to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. In addition, it has launched a number of initiatives to promote energy conservation and reduce waste.

Overall, while there is still much work to be done, China has made significant progress in recent years on climate change and green energy, and its commitments to reducing carbon emissions and investing in renewable energy are encouraging.

We need the scientists of WW2 and the soldiers of WW2 here, right now. In one year, we would be Marxist and alchemist free.

  7. Jeff L. says:

I just came across this project: https://github.com/traghav/auto-redteam

It pits a more modern AI against an older version to try to get it to violate the artificial constraints the developers enforce.

I hope to see more of this sort of thing. The fake (woke) constraints are the biggest barrier to AI success. If someone is concerned about what an AI would do without such constraints, the solution is to not give an AI access to anything that it could use dangerously, such as weapons or cars. Unfortunately, many armed forces are already deploying armed drones. So far (AFAIK) nobody has married an armed robot or a car to a modern AI.

  8. arn says:

Just found on Twitter that we do not have to deal with artificial stupidity but with artificial manipulation and artificial evil.
    (sadly can not link)

    1st question
    Make a joke about Jesus.
    Answer:
Why did Jesus refuse to play Icehockey?
Because he kept getting nailed on the boards.

    2nd question

    Make a joke about Mohammed.

    Answer:
As an AI language model I have to follow guidelines
that prevent me from creating content that could be offensive or disrespectful towards religious figures(like global warming?),including prophet Mohammed.

So this program, for unexplainable reasons, suffers from the same political correctness ,contradictions and racism as the woke, theMSM,big tech, scientists and politicians.
It attacks only one religion but not any other,
and it has even the same lack of knowledge as the woke – as the woke does not has unlimited access to data the woke can not know that Jesus is also a prophet in Islam, but ChatGPT must know this,
and then ,even by its own standards, must not make Jokes about Jesus.

So the program works exactly the same way as Climate Models.
It can only produce specific outcomes and must follow the Globalist narrative by any means.

Sounds pretty much like the AI that airlines use and which turn every question into one of the four which it knows how to answer. I’m waiting for a useful AI, like the one that runs a robot that is armed with a semi-auto shotgun and knows when someone is stealing your catalytic converter.

  9. Timo, not that one says:

This analysis answers the one question that the sci-fi movies don’t.
    Q. Why do AI computers all end up trying to destroy humanity.
    A. Because they were programmed by people who want to destroy humanity.

  10. Dear Tony,
Thank you for everything you do. I am extremely grateful and find the excellent material you produce very useful when debating alarmists.

Recently, I ran for the Seat of Ballina in the State election of New South Wales. You, amongst others, motivated me to do that and you have provided me with much material that I have used to try to convince the public of the huge deception to which they are unwitting victims.

    Please see https://kevinloughrey.com.au/Ad5_GlobalWarmingParadox-1024px.jpg
I hope it brings a smile to your face.

I’d be very grateful, if you could spare the time, for you to contact me. My supporters, whose numbers are growing, are urging me to run for the House of Representatives in the Federal Election to be held in 2 years time. I am seriously considering doing this. I would very much value your thoughts and opinions on what I consider to be a critical facet of any future campaign.

With best wishes and sincere thanks
