Inside The Distorted Left-Wing Mind

Last year, Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan shot 43 people at Fort Hood while shouting “Allahu Akbar!” The press immediately came to the defense of Islam – saying he was a troubled individual acting alone.

In October, James Lee took hostages at gunpoint at the Discovery Communications to protest global warming. He planned to blow everybody up, and the press chose to simply bury this story.

Yesterday, a mentally ill, pot smoking, atheist kid went on a shooting rampage in Tucson, and the press immediately blamed it on Sarah Palin, Christianity, and the Tea Party.

The motive for the attack was unclear, but a former classmate called Loughner a pot-smoking loner who had rambling beliefs about the world. The Army said he tried to enlist in December 2008 but was rejected. It did not say why.

No lawful gun owner would ever promote the unlawful use of a gun, because every time a nut case shoots someone, the lefties try to ban guns. Blaming this shooting on conservatives is just as mindless as everything which comes from the left.

I hope and pray that Representative Giffords makes a full and speedy recovery.

Her injuries would seem to resemble those of JFK in Dallas. There, while Oswald professed left wing views, he was actually just an inadequate loner with an imagined grievance against the world – the same as here, I suspect.

    • Jekyll Island says:

JFK had half of his brain blown out and died immediately while fortunately it will look like Ms Giffords will make a reasonable recovery. Oswald could not have possibly shot JFK in the way proposed by the government enquiry and far from being a loner, was an active member of the CIA.

The only similarity in the two cases is that this shooting will also be manipulated for political purposes.

    Bush-Backed Drug Marketing Schemes
    Evelyn Pringle April 2005
    http://evelynpringle.blogspot.com/2010/08/bush-backed-drug-marketing-schemes.html

At an FDA hearing on the safety of psychotropic drugs on Feb 2, 2004, dozens of tortured parents testified that their children had committed suicide or other violent acts after being prescribed the same drugs that are being marketed in the Bush-backed pharmaceutical industry schemes aimed at recruiting the nations 52 million school children as customers.

In July 2003, the Bush appointed New Freedoms Commission on Mental Health (NFC) recommended screening all children for mental illness and designated TeenScreen as a model program to ensure that every student receives a mental health check-up before finishing high school.

The NFC also has a preferred drug program in place modeled after the Texas Medication Algorithm Project (TMAP), that lists what drugs are to be used on children found to be mentally ill.

The list contains every drug that people complained about at the FDA hearing, including Paxil, Zoloft, Celexa, Wellbutron, Zyban, Remeron, Serzone, Effexor, Buspar, Risperdal, Zyprexa, Seroqual, Geodone, Depakote, Adderall, and Prozac.

There is little if any evidence that these drugs work on children but nevertheless, an estimated 10 million children in the US are now taking these mind-altering drugs even though they have documented side-effects including suicidal ideation, mania, psychosis, and future drug dependence.

According to a May 2003 report in the New York Times, national sales of anti-psychotics reached $6.4 billion in 2002, making them the fourth highest-selling class of drugs which proves the drug companies are already making a killing by drugging our kids….

Despite that the fact that SSRI antidepressants are banned for use with children in the UK and despite the FDA “black box” warning label now required on all SSRIs that the drugs increase suicidal thinking and behavior in kids, the NFC not only recommends that the same drugs be prescribed to children, it promotes the very schemes that will increase the number of kids on these drugs in schools and other public institutions….

    Turning People Into Psychotic Murderers

Besides causing suicide, enough evidence now exists to prove that psychotropic drugs have played a major role in the senseless acts of violence by school-age children in this country in recent years.

Dr Breggin is against the use of psychotropic drugs in children, and has testified in civil and criminal cases numerous times about the link between SSRIs and suicide and other acts of violence.

On April 15, 2001, 16-year-old Cory Baadsgaard took a rifle to his High School in Washington State and held 23 classmates and a teacher hostage. Cory sat in jail for 14 months before finally being released based on expert testimony by psychiatrists that his behavior was an adverse reaction to the drugs he was prescribed….

Cory recently made an unlikely new friend in Colorado, when he met Columbine High School shooting victim, Mark Taylor, who is suing the manufacturer of the antidepressant that Eric Harris was on when he opened fire at Columbine…. an autopsy revealed that Harris was on the psychotropic drug Luvox, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).

**A little known fact is that a few days before the Columbine tragedy, Eric Harris had been rejected by the Marine Corps specifically because he was taking the drug Luvox.**

14 year-old Elizabeth Bush was on antidepressants when she took a gun to school and wounded another student in Williamsport, PA in 2001.

12-year-old Christopher Pittman was on Zoloft when he shot his grandparents and set their house on fire, and says his violence was caused by the drug he was. Before Zoloft, he had been on Paxil.

Even the people closest to Jeff Weise are at a loss to say what led to the deadly killing spree by Weise in Minnesota, where the 16-year-old shot his grandfather, his companion, and then went to the high school and shot 5 students, a teacher and a security guard before killing himself. According to school employee, Gayle Downwind, Weise was on Prozac at the time of the shootings.

Dr Tracy has consulted on many cases where children engaged in violent behavior including a 15-year-old boy on Zoloft who shot and killed a woman and is serving life in prison; a 17-year-old boy on Paxil for three months who jumped off an overpass into the path of a trailer truck; a 14-year-old girl prescribed Paxil to deal with the suicide of her father (who was on Paxil before killing himself) drank Drano in a suicide attempt; and a 16-year-old boy on Paxil who stabbed a woman over 60 times, drove his car into a cement abutment in a failed suicide attempt, and is now serving life in prison.

    No child left unmedicated
    by Phyllis Schlafly
    http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/SCH412A.html

Big Brother is on the march. A plan to subject all children to mental health screening is under way, and pharmaceutical companies are gearing up for bigger sales of psychotropic drugs.

Like most liberal big-spending ideas, this one was slipped into the law under cover of soft semantics. Its genesis was the New Freedom Commission on Mental Health created by President George W. Bush in 2002….

The side effects of suggested medications in children are severe. They include suicide, violence, psychosis, cardiac toxicity, and growth suppression. Several school shooters, such as Eric Harris (Columbine) and Kip Kinkel (Oregon) had been on antidepressants or stimulants when they committed their crimes….

A Columbia University pilot project of screening students called TeenScreen resulted in one-third being flagged as “positive” for mental health problems, and half of those being turned over for mental health treatment. If this is preview of what would happen when 52 million public school students are screened, it would mean hanging a libelous label on 17 million American children and putting 8 million children into the hands of the psychiatric/pharmaceutical industry.

    • suyts says:

Oh, for heavens sake! Drugs treating mentally ill patients cause psychosis? Can you look up the words mentally ill and psychosis? That mentally ill patients tend to commit suicide is a revelation to you? And its all Bush’s fault? WTF?

The fact is, I agree with the underlying tenets of your whacked writings, we do over-medicate our children. Parents are as much to blame as the doctors writing the prescriptions. Yes, there’s much money to be had in this psychiatric game. But throwing around hyperbole that isn’t based in facts or are complete distortions won’t help the problem.

I’ll break it down for you quick and easy. The problem: Little Johnny isn’t perfect. This shatters Mom and Dad’s view of little Johnny. They believe there must be an underlying cause for Johnny’s odd behavior. The fact that they’ve refused to discipline or teach morality doesn’t seem to occur to them. So, they take him to a shrink or social worker. They attempt therapy. To no avail, mostly because the shrinks and social workers don’t tie behavior to discipline or morality. The ones that do, are rejected by the parents and they subsequently starve or switch professions. When failure to meet goals has exasperated the parents and therapists, they turn to chemical control. Of course, by now, little Johnny is so screwed up by the multitude of approaches taken, he’s likely never to be a well-adapted member of society. The psychotropic drugs rarely help, but most manage to sedate and slow manic behavior. Some have a paradoxical effect. The lucky ones get prescribed Ritalin or some such and become Meth heads. Others not so much.

Curious, this has been going on well before Bush. It started in the 50s and 60s. Thanks to the work of Spock, Skinner and the likes.

This is, obviously, a horrible over-simplification. There has always been mental illness and suicide with us. And there always will be. Attaching blame to companies or ex-presidents isn’t particularly useful or accurate. Especially when the increases correlate much better with other people and events.

      • Curious says:

They’re not “my” writings but in any event, and as for “facts” as you suggest, in the last para I quoted it says:

A Columbia University pilot project of screening students called TeenScreen resulted in one-third being flagged as “positive” for mental health problems, and half of those being turned over for mental health treatment. If this is preview of what would happen when 52 million public school students are screened, it would mean hanging a libelous label on 17 million American children and putting 8 million children into the hands of the psychiatric/pharmaceutical industry.

Firstly, you think 1/3 of American kids have mental health problems? If so then America has worst problems than the economy and bankruptcy down the road.

Secondly, as mentioned also in the quotes, the drugs mentioned are banned in the UK for children, yet routinely prescribed to US kids, and the army doesn’t seem to want take recruits having these drugs — perhaps because as the research is showing: they make kids violent. I can see the logic in the army not wanting weapons in the hands of people who can turn violent because of their medications.

The Arizona sheriff kept blaming media “vitriol”. He could have meant Keith Olbermann—not likely. He sounded like a democrat, and I wouldn’t be surprised to find out he’s a Democrat—in fact, that is what I am expecting will come out. He sounded like the left wing political crowd that hates Rush Limaugh, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck. I’m a a bit of a fan of Glenn Beck, but not of the other two. In listening to what I have of all three I cannot see how they could be blamed for what this kid did, or what Timothy McVeigh did. I think the left hates those three so much that they would want to blame the evil in the world on them. I guess they’ve been trying to stop Limbaugh for decades. Unfortunately there is a political war of words going on in America.

Where were radio/tv personalities for all the other assassination attempts in the history of the world? There has been many but there hasn’t always been talk radio and tv.

But the kid was a liberal………

      • evilincandescentbulb says:

I would not be surprised if Palin was forced to consider her own safetey when picking when and where to hold book signings. Those on the Left seem to be particularly afflicted when it comes to various mass manias, from Bush and Palin Derangement syndrome to the the Hot World syndrome of the global warming alarmists. This why the politics of fear has become a tactic of the Left and why liberal fascism is the greatest threat to individual liberty.

“My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now DEAD to me!”

It was dated 1/6/11, two days before the shooting. I say was because it now deleted from the web site.

Class isn’t dull as we have a seriously disturbed student in the class, and they are trying to figure out how to get rid of him before he does something bad…..

We have a mentally unstable person in the class that scares the living crap out of me. He is one of those whose picture you see on the news, after he has come into class with an automatic weapon……

The class’s instructor, Ben McGahee, said in an interview Sunday that Loughner had been removed from class in its third or fourth week, because of repeated disruptions.
