What do you get for your money? One degree colder for $100 million they raise?
Do they account for the CO2 emitted by humans on bicycles? How much Co2 is that? It must be more than walking?
I don’t think so…biking is an extremely efficient way to travel. Compare calorie requirements for biking and running the same distances:

I would assume that walking is closer to running than to biking.

I don’t see sleeping as a choice in there. Sleeping is prolly closer to nothing than anything ;D

So I found their calculator to be fun. But none of their suggestions help me. You see, 60-70% of my household’s footprint comes from air travel, and over half of that air travel stems from my position in academia where they send me off to conferences and stuff…sometimes even conferences related to AGW!
Their suggestions I’ve either incorporated already or have surpassed. Why? Well sure it helps save resources. But more importantly to me, it saves money!
