Having done a thorough investigation, they necessarily must know who committed the forgery. It is essential that they either release that information, or admit that their investigation was a sham.

PACIFIC INSTITUTE BOARD OF DIRECTORS STATEMENT
The Pacific Institute is pleased to welcome Dr. Peter Gleick back to his position as president of the Institute. An independent review conducted by outside counsel on behalf of the Institute has supported what Dr. Gleick has stated publicly regarding his interaction with the Heartland Institute. This independent investigation has further confirmed and the Pacific Institute is satisfied that none of its staff knew of or was involved in any way.
No one at Pacific Institute was involved???? Except for the president of the institute.
Dr. Gleick has apologized publicly for his actions, which are not condoned by the Pacific Institute and run counter to the Institute’s policies and standard of ethics over its 25-year history. The Board of Directors accepts Dr. Gleick’s apology for his lapse in judgment. We look forward to his continuing in the Pacific Institute’s ongoing and vital mission to advance environmental protection, economic development, and social equity.

Now their entire list of assets can be attached, as well as those of their criminal corporate officer.
A corporation can be held liable for the actions of officers.
One might think that’s why Heartland has been waiting for since they haven’t filed a civil lawsuit yet as far as I know.
I’ll bite.. where does it say they “cleared” him? As far as I can tell, it has done nothing of the sort.
And anyone is surprised because?
Is it becoming clear, yet, that people like Hill who want to ‘debate’ until everything is hunky-dory, are the REAL problem? Corrupt people, example like Stalin, CANNOT be ‘talked with’ until they get ‘better’: they can only be marked as demonic, and treated as such by ALL, FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES.
They know this: hence hate-crime ‘incitement’ laws. Hate-crime ‘incitement’ laws exist for the single purpose of putting those who dare call evil people, evil. Well, unless you are a Muslim or a hippie, then you’re free do as you wish.
There REALLY is no other way to stop them; baring the Lord intervening directly: “Mark them… and Avoid them.”

Yep. Further, I’d say the scientific process is fine, it’s just that scientists practicing it need to grab their cojones and stand up to the manns, hansens, etc. of the climate community.

Gleick was the director and cofounder of the PI. Everyone there worked for him. Including their outside counsel who did the ‘independent review.’
So his cronies that owed their jobs to him had their liars, er lawyers say he … hey, what exactly did they say? That their review “supported what Dr. Gleick has stated publicly regarding his interaction with the Heartland Institute.”
Well, what exactly has he said PUBLICLY about his ‘interaction with the Heartland Institute?’

So basically, the independent review supports that Gleick committed fraud. And why are they reinstating him?
The talk about ‘independent review’ is a PR tactic to pretend he’s been cleared of wrong-doing. All the ‘independent review’ says is their outside lawyers agree he’s a thief and liar.
So, isnt he the whole institute? He cleared himself? Well done!
As president of The Pacific Institute it gives me great welcome to please myself back into my original position here. While I was away I conducted an independent review of myself on behalf of my Institution that stated what I supported in public about the Heartland Institute. My independent investigation has further confirmed (and I myself am satisfied) that none of my staff knew of (or was involved in any way with) what I was doing (except me) (but I wasn’t here at the time).

I wouldn’t expect anything less (more?) from the former Chairman of the AGU Committee on Scientific Ethics. If anything this reinstatement of Gleick by Gleick should place Gleick back on the short list for a Nobel. Onward through the bizzaro world fog.
