US wildfires are at a 30 year low, and have been declining for Obama’s entire political career.

There were four times as many fires in 1938 as 2014.

Not to mention that there is absolutely ZERO correlation between climate and wildfires. Average global temperature has nothing to do with wildfires … zilch!

Better than 90% of wildfires are started by humans, either through negligence or maliciousness.

    • Brad says:

But Squid, CAGW. Get it? It matters not if fires are started by humans via negligence or maliciousness. You see, CAGW is caused by human negligence and malice towards the planet. Ergo, wildfires are started by Global Warming caused by humans. It’s all one big circle.

        Fires are catastrophic, right?
They are, for the most part, started by people.
They are ‘global’, in as much as any forested area around the globe can have one.
And most importantly, they are HOT!

So wildfires, by definition MUST be a sign of CAGW…

Just have to dip your mind into the broken logic used by the Team and suddenly it all makes sense…of course, a fifth of JD helps get one’s mind to that point (I’m sure there’s other ways…like little white lines, pills, mushrooms or…).

We must always remember Obama’s statements are directed at the 47/48% population of useful idiots that voted for him, hoping they will tell others that didn’t vote for him.
Remember, the end game is to reach 51% dependency on the tax payers.

Incredible , the most powerful on earth can not get a simple fact right. hmm, makes you wonder about his decisions and advice on the really important things.

The photo of the burning homes is indicative of the tremendous growth in the wildland-urban interface, not climate change, Mr. President. Wikipedia article on it (brief and fair) reports 38% of growth in the western US is in the interface, exposing ever increasing amounts of property to wildfires.

But, why are we observing the second anniversary of a Cat 1 hurricane, Mr. President? An election coming up? Do not recall any other hurricane anniversaries being acknowledged this past summer. You could have put out a 45th ann. notice for Camille, or a 25th ann. notice for Hugo. Just saying.

Steven, Steven, Steven… you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about. There have been massive increases in wildfires in those other 7 states that Obama’s been to and even more in that eighth one he hasn’t gotten to yet. Being President gives him special access to data from those other 8 states us peons can’t get… one of his USSS Protective Service agent’s uncle’s sister has a john business associate in the Eastwestern States Region of the Forest Service with headquarters in the capitol of our 58th Northsouthern state. The reason the fires are so bad is they also have severe problems getting water due to Global Warming freezing too much of their water supply in those heat soaked glaciers and snowpack.

It’s really really hard to fight fire with snowballs (you need a lot of snow) so another couple of billion dollars are necessary to print up some ID cards for infected illegal trans national immigrant snowball makers and to buy a bunch of Gulfstreams and Lear jets for transport from the TX, AZ and NM borders where workers from Obama’s Central American training facilities are being staged. Folks that will do the jobs Americans just won’t do… and they’ll even vote a few times for free just so Americans don’t have to. He would have done it long ago if it hadn’t been for George Bush alienating the Attack Snowball Squeezers Hispanic Outreach Labor Emissaries Syndicate, a group of Central and South American cartels and coyotes unions representing many workers who mirror American skills… on the razor’s edge of dealing with snow and firefights.

Called the wife to look at the graphs and she says “Well, they’ve chopped down so many trees of course they will get less fires.” I didn’t argue. 🙂

I was doing some work for the NPS and staying at the fire house house they have. Talking to the firefighters, the number one cause of the wildfires in the southwest is flipping caused by poor land management. The policy has been if there is a fire put it out immediately, instead of letting it burn the weaker brush and creating distance between stronger plants. You have too much brush bundled close together and well that equals more opportunity for fires and greater. hotter fires that are harder to put out. The indians knew this, which is way they intentionally set the forests on fire. sadly, we have officials who never been outside of the coffee house in Seattle and San Francisco making land management decisions.

If you checked wildfires over the past 115 years, there is a cyclic pattern in some areas because of the policies in place by the NPS, BLM, etc.
