The Climate Family That Cheats Together, Gets Funding Together

As of 1999, NOAA, Phil Jones and James Hansen all agreed that the US was not warming.

February 04, 1989

Last week, scientists from the United States Commerce Department’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said that a study of temperature readings for the contiguous 48 states over the last century showed there had been no significant change in average temperature over that period. Dr. (Phil) Jones said in a telephone interview today that his own results for the 48 states agreed with those findings.

August 1999

Empirical evidence does not lend much support to the notion that climate is headed precipitately toward more extreme heat and drought. The drought of 1999 covered a smaller area than the 1988 drought, when the Mississippi almost dried up. And 1988 was a temporary inconvenience as compared with repeated droughts during the 1930s “Dust Bowl” that caused an exodus from the prairies, as chronicled in Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath…..

in the U.S. there has been little temperature change in the past 50 years, the time of rapidly increasing greenhouse gases — in fact, there was a slight cooling throughout much of the country

Now they tell a very different story, that the US faces 4-11 degrees of warming this century.

The US has cooled almost a degree since 1999. Apparently there was a decision made by the big three in the year 2000 – to drop any pretense of veracity or integrity in climate science.

Keep pounding them until the world knows they are liars, charlatans, corrupt betrayers with no decency selling all for the dollar and the power. I like your site Steven.

Well, when the Goracle didn’t get to be Prez, he was ticked off. So everybody who kisses up to him probably got an ass wuppin’. They would have been told “No wonder we didn’t win, when my team won’t stay on message!” Thus they formed their unholy alliance as the new 3 stooges. Gore got 200M and all the Poodle-tang he can handle, and the other two will probably end up doing time.

I love it. iIf they were to make those statements today they would immediately be labelled as deniers.

  4. Andy DC says:

I recently heard teenage girls contemplating suicide (we might as well jump off the roof), because climate change charlatans had convinced them that the planet was dying. That is a wonderful, insprinig, upbeat attitude to instill in young people.

    La Cosa Nostra del clima.

Sometimes when these facts are recounted a tune for Hansen comes to mind –

House Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations Subcommittee Ranking Member Chaka Fattah (D-PA):

“Mr. Chair, I oppose this amendment. Climate change is a big issue in the world we live in. It affects our economy, our ability to move goods. We’ve had the most severe weather season we’ve had in history over the last 12 months at a cost of a billion-plus dollars. Our ability to understand the weather and the climate and its impact on business and industry and agriculture is critically important.

“I think that the National Science Foundation — which is an entirely merit-based system of scientific awards in which they fund less than one out of every five meritorious pieces of research proposals. There is absolutely no politics.”

Speechless at the outright lies these people can tell. Really? The most severe weather is HISTORY????? Absolutely NO politics??? Wow, this was said by Chaka, the POLITICIAN.

  8. gofer says:

We need give NSF another 10 Million so they can tell us the climate’s “impact on business and industry and agriculture.” How would we ever know otherwise? Dumb and dumber, especially since they are going to promote warming. What huge disasters happen if people believe them and prepare for warming rather than the possibilityof colder weather? They going to say oops, excuse me?
