On June 2, last year, I was riding my bike along the flooded Poudre River and found a doe and newborn fawn stranded on an island. They were later rescued by the fire department.

Last night I was riding my bike alongside a non-flooded Spring Creek, and found a newborn fawn and her mother separated by an eight foot high mesh fence. Another rider was there and was contemplating picking up the fawn and carrying it around to its mother.
He must have done it, because when I rode back 15 minutes later, the family was hiding in the bushes in a horse pasture on the other side of the fence.
