It’s likely that sea level should be rising even faster (i.e., it is rising slower than expected). Why is that? Well, North America is rising in the far North and sinking in the South. Even Wankerpedia cannot hide all the facts …
So way up North (…to Alaska) the land is rising, below the Great lakes (this includes North Carolina naturally) it is sinking. Consequently, the retarded alarmist community are once again cherry picking by heading where? Yep, to North Carolina to talk about sea level.

There is also tectonic actions involved here, as the Mid Atlantic Ridge pushes North America west, while the Pacific Plate is trying to push it east.
