Hurricane Andrew struck Florida twenty years ago this week, the last category five hurricane to hit the US. It has also been seven years since any hurricane hit Florida, the longest hurricane-free period on record.
US climate experts tell us that hurricanes are getting stronger and coming more frequently.
Let’s hope that Isaac is not the next one.
US climate experts do not say hurricanes are coming more frequently.
Spare me the BS.
Show me the statements
Spare me the BS

“…these monster storms could make landfall more frequently..”
“While the number of hurricanes may or may not increase, some scientists say the ones that do form could be more intense than they would be otherwise.”
None of that supports what you said US climate experts are saying.
Lame and pathetic.
The experts have qualified their statements. You have misrepresented them.
Stop lying. It is pathetic.
Small changes in global temperatures can lead to more extreme weather events including, droughts, floods and hurricanes,” NOAA Administrator D. James Baker said.

*Global Warming Kicked 2005 Hurricanes Up A Notch*
*BOULDER, Colorado*, June 26, 2006 (ENS) – Global warming created about half the extra warmth in the waters of the tropical North Atlantic that stimulated hurricane formation in 2005, while natural cycles were a minor factor, a new study from the National Center for Atmospheric Research demonstrates.
The research by world leading climate scientists contradicts recent claims that natural cycles are responsible for the increase in Atlantic hurricane activity since 1995 and adds support to the theory that hurricane seasons will become more active as global temperatures rise.
Last year produced a record 28 tropical storms and hurricanes in the Atlantic. Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma all reached Category 5 strength, the highest level on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale. Category 5 hurricanes carry winds greater than 155 mph (249 km/hr). The storm surge is greater than 18 feet (5.5 meters) above normal.
This year the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center forecasts a “very active” season, with 13-16 named storms, 8-10 hurricanes, and 4-6 major hurricanes.

…and now you cite a media report that also partially misrepresents the paper it discusses.
Compare the claims of the article and the quotes attributed to Trenberth.
The so called “Experts” claim all sort of things that are obviously not true!
You appear to not be reading the BS coming out of the so called “Climate Experts”, for the last ten years, about hurricanes. Algore was advised by the Climate Experts for his documentary. This time of year increasing number of hurricanes is the party line for the Chicken Little Brigade. Either that or hurricanes will get stronger. You just have not been listening to the Mann!
What did Dr. Mann say recently?
