It is always useful to examine the stupidity level of alarmists.
We are at the equinox. At the North Pole, the sun is dipping below the horizon. At 70S, the sun is 20 degrees (90 minus 70) above the horizon, and getting higher every day.

If my understanding of Equinox is correct then the sun at the North pole and the South pole are identical (at least for one day). Since I live in the southern hemisphere I can attest to the fact that it is not Winter any more, its Spring. Same in Antarctica. Although its still quite cold as various posts have shown. Personally I prefer my Spring above freezing but Antarctica does not have that choice.

Umm, Winter won’t arrive until Spring comes and goes bonehead. Looked at Antarctica a few days ago. The land is completely covered with ice with many miles of sea ice surrounding the continent. Caliban must have wrote this well into cocktail hour, or suffers from Libtardism.
I must call BS when I see it. Got the seasons mixed up. I am the real bonehead.
The North Pole is up by the ceiling. Record high ice at the south Pole is because it’s down by the floor.
But I thought ice was less dense than water so there should be more ice at the top, i.e., at the North Pole.
/sarc just in case its needed…
I didn’t know this was supposed to be making sense. But good point.
😉
But if you ever step up on a chair to get a spider on the ceiling it’s so hot up there.
Amino Acids: true. “Climate Science” is just so darn dificult.,
On the plus side I guess spiders are safe from global warming….
Quite a large proportion of the antarctic sea ice is outside the antarctic circle and hence the sun will shine on it even in the depth of the antarctic winter. Only the Hudson Bay, Bering Sea and Sea of Okhotsk ice is outside of the arctic circle; relatively a much smaller proportion of the ice.
And of course all that extra CO2 you guilty people are making has made the Arctic melt. I hope you all feel very guilty.
