They published this graph, which shows that sea level rise has not accelerated since the 19th century. I added the red trend line.

Maybe not, but sea water has become both wetter and drier according to the science of extreme sea level rise events.
That is almost as good as the dehydrated water I am trying to sell for emergency preparedness. Just add H2O! 😉
Just make sure you do not add hydrogen hydroxide! That stuff kills thousands every year!
I put a warning label on the packages warning about the dangers of using both dihydrogen monoxide and hydrogen hydroxide. Both are nasty chemicals!
We still do not know what the “Y” axis represents. It could be Nonometers for all we know!
… or even yesyesmeters!
It was supposed to read NANOmeter!
Time for a new keyboard! 😉

Nonometers is funnier and much more appropriate! 😀
Steven:
It is now Real Climate Denial, They have improved the site and deserve to be recognized with an additional descriptor.
There appears to be some diminishing Polar Bear habitat floating there in the background. They should have thrown in a dead bear for good measure….
LOL.
And also throw in a dead Walrus for bit more authenticity. 🙂
That is a picture of New York City after SLR! 😉 Hansen was right!
I still have a few oily birds left over from the last right wing conspiracy meeting, they could have called me.
Is it just my IPod or is your trend line too steep?
No
Every part of the plot is below your trend line from about 1910 to 2001. The only parts of the plot that are above the trend line are a few points in the 19th century. This plot is from 1870 to 2001, right? What I see on my Ipod and my computer is not a least squares fit.
Reading one sentence is tough?
I had to fling some stuff at (Un)RealClimate, reiterated below – Knowing those cowards, I doubt it’ll see the light of day. As of writing this, it’s still in moderation.. 😉
Olaf,
Surprisingly, they did approve your comment at RC, though with the addition of a snarky comment at the end, from one of the moderators:
“[normally this would go to the borehole. We’re going to allow this one through for amusement however. -moderator]”
