It’s being used as a yardstick to measure just how gullible people are. Is there anything they couldn’t pass off on the public with the right people saying it?
As many others were, I once believed in AGW, but unlike the left, I wanted to see some evidence. It was a few simple things that told me it was all a scam. First, any skeptical evidence that was shown, the alarmist went nuts and didn’t want to hear it. This wasn’t science, it was politics. 2. Gore, and others, saying they needed to exaggerate and come up with scary scenarios. This didn’t make sense and knew it was wrong and definitely wasn’t science. Hundreds of other lies, misdirections and others trying to stifle debate along with Climategate sealed it. It was a gigantic money and power grab that you would have to be purposely blind not to see it. It was enraging to see these people who were supposed to uphold standards of scientific integrity just act like nothing but liars.
When they constanly used “carbon” and not carbon dioxide, I knew it was all over for any chance of being anything of consequence. IT was a Seinfeld theory, a theory about nothing.
Wealthy white guilt liberals want a way to give money to 3rd world peeps to keep them from actually progressing. I recently read an article about the UN giving some African countries efficient wood burning stoves. How so very nice of them? Global warming was called “plastic” since it could be molded to so many different agendas, all of them putting money into wealthy people’s pockets. While OWS was demonizing banks, they were making big bucks off carbon credits by putting poor people into even worse conditons. Chase was actually selling “human power” credits gained by Asian farmers using treadle pumps, instead of diesel, to irrigate their fields. Some of the most heinous ever devised Rich jet owners could fly with a better conscious because some kid in Asia spent his day pumping up and down with his legs to move the water. This is slavery.

At first the climate cons probably just had the goal of using the climate con to assert their authority to TAX everything that existed kinda like a global VAT tax funneled to them and their cohorts. However, as the climate con evolved they’ve come to realize that the con can give them top down control over society and the global economy that would make communism look like a stroll in the park.
I think you have it backwards, these loons care more about control than money.
You’re wrong Steve, these are the purposes of global warming (in no particular order and I may have missed a few):
1) Equalize all the economies of the world’s nations (with rich nations standard of living being lowered.)
2) Redistribute wealth from rich nations to poor nations and also within nations.
3) Global government.
4) Management of the world’s resources.
5) Control of the world’s population because (as I think Lindzen said), if you control carbon, you control life.
