I set my cruise to 70mph (in a 65) and I will almost certainly be cool. Yet 1mph faster than that and you could get nabbed. What are your laws regarding speedo accuracy as per factory fitted? The Australian Design Regulations 1989 specify 10% +/- inaccuracy may be manufactured into the speedo. The same regs 2007 changed that to 0 (accurate) to +6km/h.
Actually, the publicity is good for Zimmerman. He’s had many death threats. Knowing that he is armed may deter some assassins. I would have been shocked and dismayed if he hadn’t been armed.
I wonder if the cop let him off with a warning in support of Zimmerman’s right to carry? He easily could have given him a ticket, or “acted stupidly.”
