Hagel says US military ready to strike Syria if Obama gives order; US gathering intelligence
WASHINGTON — The U.S. military stands ready to strike Syria at once if President Barack Obama gives the order, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Tuesday as the United States prepared to formally declare that chemical weapons had been used in the Syrian civil war.
U.S. officials said the growing intelligence pointed strongly toward Bashar Assad’s government as the culprit — a claim Assad called “preposterous.”
These would be the same people who’s best intelligence was that the massive Benghazi terrorist attack was a spontaneous YouTube protest.

Did the world get this excited about Halabja? No. But it did prove that Saddam had WMD at one point in time.
It gets worse, much worse. According to some rather compelling evidence by WND (Evidence: Syria gas attack work of U.S. allies) Assad did NOT employ chemical weapons, but rather it was indeed the US backed Syrian rebels. Russia and others also substantiate this claim. If the US were to strike Syria over this now, we are going to be in a HUGE worldly hurt. You think our foreign relations are screwed up now? .. Just you wait and see what happens if the US strikes Syria over this. … Can you say WWIII on the horizon?
Obama, and his entire administration, needs to be removed from office now, and I don’t mean this year, I mean this afternoon. This is going beyond dangerous. This is so far past incompetence that it can only be purposeful, and indeed criminal. Obama is official an enemy of the state.

I for one doubt that Assad gassed any Syrians, but if that is the excuse that Obama is using for an attack, then Assad has a simple solution at hand. All he has to do is to sign a Syrian translation of the United States NDAA legislation. Viola! Then he kill his own citizens at his discretion, no trial, no charges, no appeal — all perfectly legal, right?
