Summer in Siberia is going out with a bang. Temperatures in Ojmjakon, Russia are currently 8 degrees Fahrenheit (-13º Celsius.). No doubt the press and Joe Romm will cover this with the same zeal as they covered Moscow a couple of weeks ago.
I have Verhanjank,Russia(spelling?) saved in my Favs over there at the underground. there is debate over which site is the coldest in the northern hemi but as of now even though my site has got a lot colder I don’t think it has got down to 8…I do notice the snow cover growing over there which \I love to see!

I have no daubts that they will “cover” this ….. hopeing that nobody will notice
Of course they might cover it as abnormal cold… caused by global warming… err I mean climate change… climate weirding… err disruption. Whatever! Just accept that it’s your fault and shut up 😉
