Repeal The Law!

Aztec Climate Control

There is a lot of concern being voiced by lawmakers who voted to control the climate through higher taxes.

Key donors, citing the fate of the global warming legislation, are not contributing as much money as they did in 2008. “One of them said, ‘I thought our side won the last election, and it doesn’t seem to make any difference,’ ” said Rodger Schlickeisen, president and chief executive of the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund. At the same time, some Democratic leaders accuse environmentalists of failing to back members in tough districts who took a risk voting for controversial legislation to cap carbon emissions.

If politicians want to take votes on Natural Law, wouldn’t a more direct approach be to simply repeal the First Law of Thermodynamics?

Neither matter nor energy can be created or destroyed. The amount of energy in the universe is constant – energy can be changed, moved, controlled, stored, or dissipated. However, this energy cannot be created from nothing or reduced to nothing. Every natural process transforms energy and moves energy, but cannot create or eliminate it.

This is a terrible law. It forces us to keep burning fossil fuels. If Congress would just repeal it, then we could reduce our CO2 emissions – and save huge amounts on our energy bills.

In fact, our top scientist in Springfield has already solved the problem.
