  1. SMS says:

Gillard is about to do the same thing Obama did; overstep the beliefs and positions of her constituents with her own unjustified agenda.

She is only the Prime Minister by the smallest of margins. She could be out shortly.

It’s just too tempting for politicians…they both can’t do wrong, putting their names alongside something that is completely harmless…

  3. Beano says:

Gillard is only Prime Minister with the help of the Greens.

This is a sop to them.

Hillary was interviewed on Australian Government run T.V. this evening and was asked a direct question : “Now that the Republicans are in Congress it seems that Cap and Trade is dead and a Carbon Tax is a no go, what is your take on this” – Reply was rhetoric.

  4. Mike Davis says:

Hilliary is the lady with prescripted replies to everything. If the question is outside of the playbook there is a group of generic replies to fit any occasion, Just like the “B.O.”

  5. GregO says:

“The US began their leadership change on Tuesday, and will complete it in two years. ”

    Bwahahahahaha!

    Excellent. Most excellent.

  6. Bruce says:

SMH seems again to be on happy juice (SMH and stable mate The Age make The Guardian look sane sometimes). Write up in The Australian this morning has quite a different flavour:

“US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said yesterday it was up to Australia to choose its own path on an ETS and that the new US position was a product of the political reality facing the Obama administration after the recent mid-term elections.”

In other words if you want to commit political suicide, well that’s your choice.

    • Mike Davis says:

It all depends on your interpretation of what the politicians were saying. Attempting to interpret what politician mean can lead to senility.

Climate Change Pact? I would think Sen. Darrell Issa and Sen. James Inhofe would be very interested if there was a treaty signed. Very very interested. Heh.
