Renewable energy advocates eye break from climate change debate
Washington (Platts)–16Nov2010/712 pm EST/012 GMT
Renewable energy advocates, now facing Republican control of the House of Representatives next year, are decoupling from efforts to curb greenhouse gas emissions and retooling some of their long-standing proposals as they look for ways to win. Supporters of solar, wind and other renewable energy sources will have to break away from the climate change debate and frame their issue in broad terms of economic stability, job creation and national security, Dan Esty, head of the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy, said Tuesday. Esty spoke at the rollout of a new policy plan by the Coalition for Green Capital, a group comprised of renewable energy advocates. “The key here is to reframe the debate. It can’t be about cap and trade and climate change, and frankly… it can’t be about renewable energy,”

Kind of like biologists under Stalin. All those guys that kept talking about genetics ended up with severe frostbite. So how do we frame this as lysenkoism and still actually grow some crops, since the political climate won’t allow talk about reality.
TonyD:
Your concept of reality may just come from your medications. There are warning reports that come with the meds that caution people about probable hallucinations. Your doctor can easily adjust your dosage!
Black is White, Up is Down It must be an experimental drug they have you on for that type of reaction.
I would have attempted to explain your error but all you need to do is reverse your claim.
One more proof that climate sanity is slowly regaining.
N O,
Maybe in the US but here in OZ the insane are still in charge of the asylum. Now it’s urgent to price carbon or we will be left behind. By whom? all the smart people reckon carbon is worth zip. Ipso facto our leaders are not smart. They still think wind turbines can deliver base load power. The madness.
Eco Marxist: “I’d like to reframe the debate. We were just kidding about all that climate Armageddon stuff. We see the err of our ways…. Really.”
GOP: “Soooo, you’re giving up on the Treasury Looting, prosperity sucking, scam ridden Euro Windmill and Asian Solar fraud?
Eco Marxist: ” Well, uh, not exactly. But we gave it a wizzy new name! It’s called the “Job creation and Economic Stability and National Security hoax, er, uh, I mean- Act. We used all the words we know you like. ”
GOP: “I see. And, you still want to shut down all forms of cheap, reliable energy, I suppose?, crippling the economy? And we’ll all be paying a bill the size of Al Gore’s just to heat our meager homes? Do we just quit buying food?”
Eco Marxist: “Now, why do you have to say it like that? There are a few tarrifs on energy, but Zimbabwe needs our Windfarms too. You can’t expect them to buy their own, can you? There’s even a plan for those Americans who lose their homes…. we can provide one of these new energy efficient models. ”
GOP: ” You’re giving everyone a tent?
Eco Marxist: ” It’s a Yurt, you knuckldragger. You’re always so denegrating!” “And no, we can’t exactly be GIVING these things away. Pricing depends on your income, but they’re as little as 50 Grand!” “And hey, they’re mobile.”
GOP: “Why would I want to move it?” “Agenda 21, perhaps?”
Eco Marxist: “It’s impossible to Negotiate with the party of NO! Besides, This is a jobs bill!”
GOP: “For China?”
Eco Marxist: “This plan will create 5 Million jobs! Why, 50 thousand alone to shoo birds away”
GOP: “It better do a lot better than that. I see the price tag is 50 Trillion.”
Eco Marxist: “All you ever talk about is money, money, money! Don’t you see the vision? A bold new world! The new World order!”
GOP: ” I’m afraid that’s exactly the problem. I do see it”
That just about covered it!
lol, very nice!
This book I can highly recommend, cuts right thorough the crap, and its free for everyone to download as pdf, 383 pages, very interesting read imho

No one has any issue about some company experimenting with solar, or if your neighbor wants to install a wind turbine next door. Who cares. But if it’s all going to be jammed down my throat that’s what I can’t tolerate. Up in Canada, their provincial government forced the public pay for solar electricity; they pay 40 cents per KWH for solar generated power then they sell it on the grid for 5 cents per KWH. I don’t have that backwards, they buy it for 40 cents and then sell it for 5 cents. Only environmental lunatics would create a business model like that, and only other lunatics would think that it is a good idea. This is why we needed to take back Congress before they made us do something just as idiotic, like Cap&trade.
