Met Office : Natural Variability Caused Man Made Slowdown

The Met Office agrees that the rate of warming has slowed – but it maintains that is due to natural variability.

Global warming has slowed in the last decade, according to the Met Office, as the world pumps out so much pollution it is reflecting the sun’s rays and causing a cooling effect.

    So if aerosols and CO2 largely cancel each other out, what it the fuss all about? If humanity can’t cope with with an average temperature rise of .05 degrees a year, we are doomed as a species one way or the other!

    And the cleanup of Europe and the US SO2 emissions didn’t have a warming effect? They want to have both their cake and eat it.

      How many people playing the current game does that description fit and leaving out the “Fattish” portion expands the size of the group considerably.

        True that, but I had to include it in the quote. It is quite apt for a large group of people engaged in the climate discussion. Although, in retrospect, it could, from henceforth be used as a definition of one of our more prominent friends,……. the inventor of the internets!

    Didn’t Hansen claim soot would increase warming of the surface?
