Yes it is real – and it has little or nothing to do with CO2. Repeating the obvious over and over again doesn’t change the facts.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Population growth in the Tahoe region could have nothing to do with it! The Sierras could in no way be affected by PDO or changes in the ENSO patterns.
Well they do their analysis on over 160 lakes so should we assume the urban lake warming effect is the cause everywhere?
Clearscience:
Your comment shows your lack of knowledge of Urban run off that affects most lakes in the world. Water clarity makes a big difference in water temperature!
It does not have to be due to URBAN Development but merely LULC for agriculture purposes will have a warming effect and anywhere in between. Most lakes have experienced encroachment by humans wanting a place on the water. There are more factors involved but you should go visit Lake Tahoe and its visitor’s center to read about human effects on the lake.
do they explain how CO2 heats the water?
The coal that is burned in the local power plant creates electricity and CO2 as byproducts of burning coal. In the process the burning coal heats the water used to turn the steam turbines and down line the electricity warms the element that warms the water for my coffee maker. Indirectly CO2 has warmed the water.
You end up with CO2 and warm water. Never mind the minor facts. CO2 and warm water are seen together so CO2= warm water!!!!
If the Lake is warming, then it’s certainly got nothing to do with CO2
I’ll keep it simple … the flawed greenhouse theory … CO2 being able to cause further heating thereby defying the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.
The IPCC would have you believe that re-radiated infrared energy makes the earth warmer. Well, re-radiated energy simply cannot make a heat source any warmer than it was in the first place. Remember, sun heats earth heats atmosphere. If reflecting heat back to a heat source raises its temperature and then just keeps reflecting it to raise the temperature even more and more, (which is what the IPCC would have you believe) wow… then surely we have discovered the ultimate “holy grail of energy”! But we all know this doesn’t happen. So why do people believe it does?
You have not picked up your low energy CO2 oven yet!!!!! It is the next best thing to my perpetual motion machine. I have not been able to figure out how to turn it off and now we are cooking meals for the entire neighborhood! I found mine at surrealclimate.GISS!
You can find your perpetual motion machine through the DOE! Hurry before the EPA restricts them for being to energy efficient and not emitting pollutants for them to regulate!
So you are claiming that your El NiƱo Southern Oscillation theory also affects a lake in the middle of Nevada? When do you plan to publish your research for peer review? Come to think of it, for peer review in your case you could probably just show it to the mail man.
Yes, warm weather would affect a lake in Nevada. Doh.
