Nice Complement From Romm

The big story today is that two different groups of scientists are organizing efforts to respond to the most effective and self-destructive disinformation campaign in human history.

Weird. I thought that the IPCC was the “most effective and self-destructive disinformation campaign in human history.”

the challenge is enormous given that the disinformers and confusionists have many advantages including a big head start, much more money

I keep hearing about the money, but I’m not getting my share. I wish that Joe would publish some information about who is providing all this skeptic money.

If you’re looking for who’s providing the astroturf funding, why not check with CFACT, CEI, AEI and Cato?

Can I have some, too? Really, I think its funny. We should let them continue to delude themselves.

Romm actually had it backwards, it was the alarmists that had the “big head start”. Skeptics by definition are reactionary. Some global totalitarian socialists presented an idea, some were skeptical. Actually, damned few of us, but…….

But he almost had this part right, “…..the challenge is enormous given that the disinformers and confusionists have many advantages……”

We had and have one advantage; we have truth. We’ve had 25 years of this lunacy. It turns out, the tidal wave of drowning hasn’t happened. We were right. The Arctic still has ice. We were right. (Wanna talk about the Antarctic?) The crop depletion never occurred. We were right. We haven’t all melted. We were right. The polar bears are thriving. We were right. Each and every alarmist prediction has failed to come to fruition. And, We were right.

please describe more of life in 2060. It is an honor reading the words of someone that is from the future.
interesting how in 2010 most of the predictions for that time period were pretty accurate, including temperature, arctic and antarctic ice, effects on the biota. Glad to know these trends didn’t continue

Romm & the rest of his none too bright AGW friends just don’t get it. Want to cut oil profits? Open up every square inch of U.S. land & off-shore areas to drilling. That’ll be brutal on their profit margins — even more than usual. As it is now, give that Big Oil money fantasy a rest; they’re outgunned 100s to one on climate funding.

  4. ChrisD says:

I wouldn’t bother if this was in the text, but since it’s in the headline:

    You mean “compliment”, not “complement.”

  5. Paul H says:

I got a voucher for 5 pence off a litre at Tesco petrol stations last week – does this count?

  6. Gator says:

I really am curious what will become of wacky ole Dr Romm. He is known for nothing else but AGW alarmism. Guess there is always a Soros subsidized position for yet another unemployed and discredited loony lefty.

  7. PhilJourdan says:

Always accuse your victims – err, um, ah opponents – of your own crimes to deflect attention from your actions in carrying them out.

    • How does that compare with funding for global warming propaganda?

      • Tony Duncan says:

        WHOA Steve.
not playing fair here. You want to compare two sides of a story?
that is s slippery slope my friend. I will start having to think that you aren’t just a fanatic who only looks for information that supports his agenda.
I warn you, if you start trying to look at all the info and assess it clearly. I WILL take my marbles and go home. That won’t be any fun at all.
