Where’s the standard upwards adjustment???
No opportunity, whoops, sorry, need to adjust for sea temps in CET area, yet.
They’ ve really lost it.
Close that shop down and turn it into a Mental Health Care Center for crazy climate scientists.
I am over 60 years old – but I am not yet senile. I am also a Chartered Environmentalist.
I remeber hot years, and severe weather. 1976 was hot. In fact it was vastly hotter than 2010, which seems to have been one of the cooler of my 60+ years.
How long can we go on writing computer programs predicting ever hotter temperatures, and then believing them in the face of reality?
Vicky Pope and her friends believe that we are fools. Fortunately I believe that the ordinary man in the street is far wiser than these so called ‘scientists realise.
If we are to throw our civilisation into reverse and wreck our economy then please lets not do it on a prestext. Lets just introduce massive taxes to enable the re-distribution of wealth which the UN seeks, which is what this is all about. No climate change, no biodiversity – just do it in the name of international socialism.
Geoffry, Amen to that! Yes, they just want global ecological socialism, nothing else. Climate, carbon, whatever, are just alibis.
Here’s my “human finger print” to the Met.
heh, tough crowd…..thought that would go over better…..oh well live and learn.
I believe the finger print they allude to is the bit green thumb print on the temperature scale.
Steven, sorry it’s OT, but interesting (to me).
Pielke, Jr. reproduces this map of Africa, with some very large countries tucked within it, and a commenter notes that the continent is big, with few thermometers. It might be interesting to show the number of official thermometers in the countries overlaid upon Africa, compared to the official thermometers within Africa.

don’t get too excited, it’s only provisional.
as soon as it warms up in a week or two and people forget about the cold i am sure it will be ‘disappeared’
or it won’t matter anyway, once they run the individual records through their supercomputer algorithm they will still get an average ‘warmest november evah!”
Or, it will be more like Baghdad Bob: “The cold is not here. The snow is not here. It is warming. Global warming is happening.”

;O)
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
H. L. Mencken
Which finger does that print come from? I have a suggestion……

Her post at Huffington Post, 4/19/07 :
I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming…. I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting…. only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required….
