City out shot Everton 17-4 …… and lost.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Errrr no, everyone needs an Aussie striker.
Everton midfielder Tim Cahill hailed his side’s massive achievement in beating Manchester City on Monday night, *reserving praise for Toffees goalkeeper Tim Howard.*
Cahill was quick to honour the American shot stopper for his performance, but admitted that he had come to expect such displays from the former Manchester United player.
“He’s been the man not just this season but all the other seasons as well. It’s what he brings to the team, he said.
“There’s times in games when we look to him to get us out of it and tonight he did that.”

Not to mention the need for the refreshing unselfishness and generosity to TEAM mates in contrast to the usual antics of strikers who, upon scoring, brush off team-mates one after another to hail themselves as the lone hero to their adoring crowds.
I’ve never been able to get much into soccer. I know that it is loved by countless millions and the most followed sport in the world, but if the arms are not used, it is not a complete sport.
Everton used their arms several times.
We had to play rugger at school.
Because I was little and could not run fast they made me play hooker!
Ooh! Steve!
Do I detect sour grapes here?
Apart from that Everton have been well served by other North Americans over the years, Landon Donovan being a good example. They’ve all been good team members who worked hard for the club and I would like to thank them.
Regards,
Ed.
