You’re not supposed to say that. You’re supposed to say that the cold will statistically average in to the warm and in the end show global warming. You’re not supposed to point out that computer models are inaccurate. You can never let on that long term forecasting is subject to the same flaws as short term forecasting, but actually worse because they deal with long time periods that have more variables than the short term. You’re supposed to just say “global warming is happening and there is mounting evidence that man is the cause”.
Pay no attention to the record cold behind the curtain. ;O)
Steven:
Relatively good at providing a general idea most of the time! There are dramatic exceptions because weather does that at times!
When models depend on extrapolations (WAGs) for input you can not expect anything of value to come out!
Weather models are based on historical information and pattern matching.
Because there is NO GLOBAL weather or Global Climate they will never get it RIGHT!
As long as they hold on to the fallacy of thirty years representing climate they will continue to get regional climate wrong from season to season. Trends are only a portion of the overall pattern.

Models are good for about 72 hours. Using larger computers doesn’t improve the software.
I agree.
They continually adjust the forecast every few hours. At least that is what the National Weather Service does for my area.

You mean larger garbage larger garbage out?
typo
meant to say
You mean larger in garbage larger garbage out?
72 hours is stretching it. I only trust them for 48 hours.
Depends on where you live on the globe.
I don’t trust them in real time….
Current conditions: clear and sunny
It’s raining

You mean trends cannot be relied on? Shocking.
