Greens long for the days when most people died before age thirty.
If you survived childbirth, chances were you would die during your first year. Before you reached twenty, chances were that you would die from Smallpox, TB, Typhoid, Plague, Flu, Tooth Infection, Freezing to death, or a host of other hideous diseases.
After age 20, your teeth would wear out. And if all that wasn’t bad enough, the King would come and rape, plunder and pillage your family and land.
Greens imagine those times to be paradise.
