He should. After all since now we’re told record cold is the result of global warming you’d think he’d be on every tv show telling everyone about all this record cold to make sure they see global warming is happening.
That doesn’t include the incredible records for the first couple days of February, when there were widespread blizzards (like Chicago getting 21″), or unprecidented cold (like 30 below (F) in New Mexico).
Record high temperatures can be expected to go higher as cities sprawl across the landscape, spreading the UHI effect. No big surprise. What is interesting is seeing record lows in theses ever hotter city scapes, cities do not have a cooling effect, so these lows are truly historic.
You can bet, if there were 10 times more record hot, we would be beat to death about it.
Is that before of after the GISS adjustments? Some of those record lows might actually be record highs, you never know.
Also remember that the past keeps getting colder, so, no word on how long any new record will (be allowed to) stand.
According to Romm, it has to be a record record before he mentions it.
lol, now I’m wondering what the record for breaking records in a day would be.

NASA will still say its the Hottest Winter on record or find some link to Carbon Caused Global Warming! Why..Because they are getting Nearly 2 Billion extra in their Budget over the next 4 year to do so!!!!

Oh yes go to Page 14 of the 2011 NASA BUDGET to see why! http://www.nasa.gov/pdf/420990main_FY_201_%20Budget_Overview_1_Feb_2010.pdf
From page 14…
“Enhances climate change modeling capabilities to enhance forecasts of regional and other effects”
Yes, because they have been so very helpful in the past! (Enhance?)
I wonder why Steven Goddard isn’t blogging about this?
