Arctic Cold – From Texas To Tibet

There is an 8,000 mile stretch of bitterly cold Arctic air spanning from Texas, across the North Pole, and all the way to Tibet.

Disclaimers : The Arctic has melted and is no longer cold. Obama wanted these sort of cultural connections. Extreme cold can cause heat stroke. Colour blind people may not be able to read this map. Global warming will kill us all.

Looks like time for a Hollywood remake of “The Blob” —

    or perhaps “Ice Station Zebra”

  2. suyts says:

Uhmm, wouldn’t that be arctic warmcold.

  3. latitude says:

    All this hiding heat again….

..until computer games, no one would have believed that heat could hide so well

  4. glacierman says:

Addition to the disclaimer: Hansen has not added value to these numbers yet. Stay tuned for the next 50 years as the data is expected to change as often as daily (depending on scheduling of climate conferences) to achieve the desired goals of those who will save the world (total control over energy use) from CO2.

  5. MikeTheDenier says:

Hansen has already made his adjustments for the next 50 years.

    • glacierman says:

Yea, but he is still making adjustment to the data for the last 150 years. If the present doesn’t get warmer……the past must have to get cooler. Imagine if we could do that to the stock market. I can see financial planners everywhere telling their clients “well you have less money, but according to our calculations, your potfolio has increased in value 500% in the last 10 years”….

  6. Svend Hendriksen says:

No… to forget the 40.000 PPMv more watervapour in the atmosphere since 1979, according to Al Gore

  7. LindasDuby says:

And to think i came to Texas for the Winter–from Virginia

  8. Carl Friis-Hansen says:

I cannot understand the temperatures on the map. The parts of the North and South Pole you see on the map are hotter than an English summer day. That, despite current temperature are:
South Pole 2011.02.03 1950 = -31 ? (North Greenland not far from North Pole)
    Thule GL 2011.02.03 1955 = -33 ? (Not far from South Pole)
Is this the issue with practically no weather stations used in these cold areas?
I am glad we Scandinavians didn’t get all the snow and cold, but left the white global warming for the Americans to fight with 🙂

  9. John Blake says:

Piers Corbyn said it best: “You ain’t seen nuttin’ yet!”

  10. Laurie Bowen says:

    Steven Goddard,

Tried to find out who you . . . you will to elucidate?

    Just curious . . .

Snow forecast for Brownsville, Texas :

    http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/news/story/45299/dangerous-icy-mix-targets-texa.asp

No snow fell in Brownsville between 1895 and 2004.

  12. Andy Weiss says:

Brownsville is 30 degrees right now with mixed wintry precipitation. I believe their last measurable snow prior to 2004 was in 1866. So assuming they get measurable snow tonight, that will be twice in the last 6 years. Another sure sign of global warming.

  13. Laurie Bowen says:

I am thinking, I need to learn how to type what I mean. That prior question made no sense . . . Sorry! Guess, I spend too much time on the computer.

  14. I have been asking all you clever people for at least 5 years, to give me the facts and figures to prove this claimed global warming is happening . I have the documented proof which predicted the earthquakes and natural disasters which have occured , and will continue to occur , since the turn of the century .
You haven’t seen nothing yet !
