Hundreds of articles this week in the press about the melting Arctic, where sea ice has melted from 9.5 million km^2 up to 10.5 million km^2 since the start of the year.

Joke of the day. Maybe ask the Nasca people in South America about real La ninas, not the pimple this year!

I can’t see this ice not melting. Kevin and I will keep the ice melting somehow – even if we have to redefine what ice is !
hahahaha
Thanks for the laugh. I needed it! I just got done watching a Joseph Stiglitz lecture and was angry over the waste of my time.

Pictures of polar bears. What the world needs now is more pictures of polar bears.
Wow, no one cares for the warthog, only polar bears…
Forget the Arctic Ice Melting! No Joke, this weekend here in Sweden a partially filled bottle of 37.5 percent Vodka froze in my freezer. WTF!!! I never ever saw frozen Vodka. Granted our Spirits are low alcohol but still…. In Vermont after snowboarding we would hold our cans of beer against the fire because we knew if we placed the cans on the ground they would freeze solid if we didn’t bend an elbow.
Gonna have to look up the freezing point for 37.5 percent Vodka and either Electrolux is going to get a letter from me raving about the merits of my freezer or the State Liquor store is going to get a letter of complaint that they are watering down my spirits. Today I purchased the same brand of Vodka and another brand…I am doing an experiment. This is a win win experiment and one the wife is very skeptical regarding my interest. 🙂
The sacrifices we must make… hick-up…
lol, sacrificing for science!!!! Well done!…………I’m betting that your letter is going to go to the liquor vendors. Freezers aren’t suppose to cool things that cold, typically. Your 37.5% vodka should have frozen at about -5 F.

Yep, just checked. The one bottle of vodka is slush, wonder if it will freeze solid? I am thinking the cheap vodka is a bottle of water that has had grain alcohol added…
