Declining Snow Cover Causes Record Snow Cover

This winter (December-February) will almost certainly be in the top two snow cover years for the northern hemisphere. Right now it is positioned as the snowiest winter on record.

As our top climate scientists explain it, the shortage of snow cover is the cause of the record snow cover.

Nobel Prize Winner Al Gore ties the loose ends together :

As it turns out, the scientific community has been addressing this particular question for some time now and they say that increased heavy snowfalls are completely consistent with what they have been predicting as a consequence of man-made global warming:

The shortage of snow causes global warming, which then creates an excess of snow. This is known among Nobel prize winning climate scientists as an excessshortage, or alternatively as a shortageexcess.

I think we all agree that cold air is cold air.

But snowfall has to do with moisture and moisture can be snow or rain, depending on air temps.

I think to put an end to all this sillyness, all someone has to do is look at the rain gauge and see how much moisture has fallen.

If the amount of moisture is the same, then it can’t be because global warming put more moisture in the air. It can only be snowing because it’s colder.

    • Hopey Changey says:

Spencer has recently commented on that….says the overall precip (worldwide) doesn’t change much year to year…

…so it looks like more snow, less rain. It feels colder…..because it is….

    • carbon-based life form says:

Mr. Latitude has an excellent suggestion. Maybe Mr. Maue can work up a study.

  2. Mike Davis says:

It is a warmcold wetdry excessshortage period in the global climate!

  3. Andy Weiss says:

It’s a very simple case that less is more and more is less. Whatever!

    Al who?

  5. Neo says:

Definitely, a “Winning The Future” moment

  6. Jerry says:

Hoaxatawney Al managed to squeeze out of his burrow and saw his own carbon footprint. Another six weeks of hot air.

  7. Neo says:

Who would you trust more to predict the weather–Al Gore or Puxatawney Phil?

  8. PhilJourdan says:

Sounds like a self correcting system (I say sounds like – I am not buying it), The less snow, creates more snow. So I guess AGW is self correcting as well – the more heat -the more cold created!

  9. Gator says:

By their logic, because winter comes after summer, summer causes snow storms.

  10. Colin Henderson says:

    It’s a snow job!

  11. Hal says:

With no pots left to piss in (because most of them are full of ice), the Global Warmists are now at least expanding our word database. Coolwarm, excessshortage, and droughtflood are very catchy terms.

  12. Gail says:

To think that this flake, Al Gore, nearly won as president!
