Does Obama Still Believe That Anyone Actually Listens To Him?

Wait, I thought Biden told us that Mubarak is good people.
“… Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…”
we are chicken shits or we would be doing the same thing as the egyptians
and screw obama anyways
Apparently Egypt was ruled by self serving, unimaginative American foreign policy not by the consent of the Egyptian people..
Why would anybody listen to the US about these guys. For 20 years these bloody dictators are our best buddies because they stand between the US and – the radical Muslims, the drug lords, Soviets; whoever the current bug-a-boo is. When their people revolt, we try to run ahead to “lead”.
Would you believe?
exactly. they stand between the U.s. and their own people
your list of bug-a-boos are just that!
there is no “war on terrorism.” there is no “war on drugs”
i don’t understand how folks on here believe everything the government and media tell them about these shams, but somehow believe they are lying only about “global warming”
I think propping up Mubarak was a big mistake too Michael. We’ve had some blunt force trauma philosophies in American foreign policy for decades now. All have failed. We don’t exactly have intellectual ballerinas in Washington.
But I trust Obamas approach even less.
Sounds just like when Carter dissed the Shah of Iran. As if his follower was so wonderful.
We lost Egypt. What can we do? We will lose more Nations as the economy gets worse and we don’t have the money to keep our military deployed all over the world. We’ll have to call them back. The world will go more into the hands of Islamic terrorists, and Communists. But we probably shouldn’t have sent our troops all over the world anyway. Let’s bring them home. Why did we ever think we had to be a super power anyway? That idea is peculiarly a post World War II idea. Fuck it.
Listening to him? Oh, there’s a segment of the population that is listening now, has always listened, and will always listen.
