wow so he was against the consensus of the Ice Age coming, what a clever man?
Another dire prediction which was obviously wrong. And after 50 years of being consistently wrong, people still listen to climate alarmists.

I don’t agree, CO2 controls the weather on Pluto too, they must also be wrong?
lol, Scarlet, I’m not sure about Pluto or other nearby worlds. Do they have SUV’s there, too?
Keep em coming Steve
All of these dire predictions of the past that failed miserably need to be collated and presented to the panel and the public, at the next congressional hearings or reviews of the state of “knowledge” of the “science” about climate change.
They need a better historical perspective than they have now.
Guys – read the context of that quote – they speak of Earth being in the middle of a “stupendous Ice Age”.
True, but, I consider the issues two sides of the same coin. Alarmism is alarmism.
Maurizio:
The Earth is in the Middle of an Ice Age. It is currently experiencing a Glacial Minimum. The current Ice Age could last a few tens of Millions of years or end with a bit of luck in the next couple of thousand years. Most likely we are trending towards the next Glacial Maximum at this time but if past cycles are any indication two hundred years of additional warming trend until the next overall cooling to generally match past minor optimum periods such as Minoan, Roman, and Medieval warm periods. Each warm period being a bit cooler than the last and this should continue for about eighty to one hundred thousand years when the globe will once again start warming towards another Climate Optimum!
Falso claims of climate change are apparently nothing new.

Scientists kill ducks to see why they are dying

By the way, isn’t this the new front page of this magazine. I used to read it in the past, but after their climate change alarmist I stopped
Don’t like the alarmist claims? Just wait a couple of minutes, and it’ll change.
It’s not Climate Change anymore. It’s Prediction Change.
There is something fascinating about science.
One gets such wholesale returns of conjecture
out of such a trifling investment of fact.
Mark Twain.
Life on the Mississippi
Wonderful use of Sam Clemens’ wit.
The year is 7011, and Scientists are measuring the extent and depth of the ice age that has gripped the planet. In some places in North America, the depth has been measured at least 1/2 mile. Scientist concluded though, that if it was not for CAGW, the ice would be much thicker…..
and in then years time as Steve pointed out in previous posts, Icelandic ports were shutdown due to ice during the mid ’70s for the first time in more than 100 years. Ice continued to increase and crest just at the start of our satellites ice records in 1979. My changing elevation as I go downward on a roller coaster is unremarkable unless I “inconveniently” forget the long trip up.
years/ten years
