The intent of the founding fathers is abundantly clear. Nothing about hunting or being in the military, or any of the other nonsense the left tries to promote.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

It’s the people alone that have the right to alter or abolish something. The government governs at the consent of the people. At some point the people will be back in control in America. They were lazy for too long and this mess was created. But it’s nothing that can’t be corrected.
Absolutely, crystal clear.
[The Constitution preserves] the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation…(where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.
—James Madison,The Federalist Papers, No. 46.
“I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.”—- George Mason Co-author of the Second Amendment during Virginia’s Convention to Ratify the Constitution, 1788
“The people are not to be disarmed of their weapons. They are left in full posession of them.”———Zachariah Johnson
“And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the Press, or the rights of Conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; …”—- Samuel Adams
“To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.”— Richard Henry Lee
“Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense?”——Patrick Henry
“Those who hammer their guns into plowshares will plow for those who do not.” and “The constitutions of most of our States assert that all power is inherent in the people; that … it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; … ” —Thomas Jefferson
“The best we can help for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.” —–Alexander Hamilton
Anyone familiar with American history should know our founding fathers were quite clear as to why the Second Amendment was wrote. It didn’t have a damned thing to do with deer hunting. An interesting note. Of the people I quoted and several more could be, many were antagonists towards each other. But they all agreed on one thing, the right and obligation for a free people to be armed.
“And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the Press, or the rights of Conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; …”—- Samuel Adams
Great quote… we are losing on all 3 points, liberal govt tries every way it can to stifle free press from state run propoganda media like PBS, NPR to trying to insitute ‘fairness doctrines’. We are barely clinging to any free press at all. Rights of conscience are diappearing at an alarming rate, I can’t even eat a good old fashioned donut in some states. Obamacare anyone? And of course, gun control laws… like DC…. hmmmm What a mockery of out founding fathers our country has become.
You might as well give up your independence and come back to the British Empire under Jolly Prince Charlie.
The left is like a swarm of evil gremlins, clawing and scratching at any crack in the armor of freedom.
When Reagan called communism an “Evil Empire” and Bush Sr referred to the “Axis of Evil” , I thought they were overstating the threat. They weren’t. The socialist left today doesn’t want to remember that JFK held similar views: http://www.thevanguard.org/thevanguard/columns/031128.shtml
So, yes, this is a nation governed by “The People”. That’s why the left not only seek to erode that fact, but to change the people themselves, thru indoctrination, infiltration, and dissolution of our culture.
Communist ideology is an evil sickness that spends every moment plotting how it can destroy the fabric of society.
So yes, we have the right to bear arms. But thru much of my life, I didn’t realize we had that right- to protect ourselves from our own government, should it fall into tyranny. And I never thought we would find ourselves facing this possibility in my lifetime. Time for shopping.
