In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today’s anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don’t own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.
Alaska is melting before our eyes; entire villages erode as sea ice vanishes, glaciers are disappearing at a frightening clip

Yes, the heat must be unbearable with all that snow and ice

I’ll bet the professionals cast out by the hotel management were professors of climatology. The hotel manager said “get out there and experience some of your global warming you wankers”. (I wish)
The hotel matter really show the disconnect in society.
It’s one of the reasons why Government can do whatever they want.
Divide an Rule never has been easier.
If they needed a place to stay they should have paid for a room. A motel is in business to rent rooms not to be a flop house for those that did not plan ahead!
Mike, follow the link to the article. All of the rooms were booked at 6pm, there were no rooms.
The police showed up at midnight, to throw everyone out.
Maybe all the rooms were full!
Room in the manger?
It wasn’t always this cold… They didn’t name it “Greenland” for nothing…
It seems like bad PR for the hotel so in order for them to kick out those people there must have been a reason.
There needs to be a class action suit against the “climate” alarmist industry. One could argue the government and private citizens would have been better prepared for harsh winters if the alarmist industry hadn’t been selling their predictions of ever milder winters for the past 20 years. I’d name Algore (Mr. Deep Pockets), Hansen, and especially Mann (he’s already in trouble in VA). It’s about time that there was a price to pay for spewing wild alarmism at the expense of sound weather advise. These guys need a taste of their own medicine.
Pickled brain from spending too much time at the Kennedy Compound.
Phobic reaction from American royalty to the uppity commoner Sarah Palin.
Can’t exactly call that a picture of a carbon footprint.
Does Kennedy ride a horse, or a car, does he sail around Tierra del Fuego when going to the West coast, or does he use a commercial airline (probably owns a jet) to fly wherever, how does he heat/cool his home? And you know that it these “types” who would scream the loudest if their standard of living ever had to be reduced.
