I arrived at work this morning feeling pretty toasty. If you are dressed properly and the roads aren’t too icy, -25C is no problem. Normally when temperatures get that cold, the snow crystals have sharp edges and are not slippery.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Isn’t that strange…..
…our sand does that exact same thing 😉
We’re 79F and sunny right now
Not sure if I have posted this before,
But one of my all time favorite quotes is “There is no such thing as bad weather., just innapropriate clothing.”
a few days ago my iphone said it was -10 in Vt. I got thoroughly confused because it didn’t feel that cold out. I checked again and turned on and off my phone. Still -10. Then checked NY -1 and Philly +3, etc.. Finally I realized I had turned my weather to Centigrade!
Good quote! When I was cycling back in Deutschland, I was not a happy camper when the temps dropped below 0. But that was because I had cheap clothes (gloves, scarves, hats – coat was fine), not good ones.
of course we are getting another 12-24″ of snow, and I have no where to put it any more!
LOL – now if you can just restore the rest of your brain function, you will be good to go !!
j/k
Steve:
I live on Sanibel Island, and many people get around with bicycles. I was thinking of setting up a carbon toll station on my sidewalk, since the CO2 output of a bicyclist is higher than the average human output. I am considering a 65% lower toll now, as a break for tandem bicyclists, in light of the carbon break Ireland is allowing. I am very reasonable, after all.
bubba, will you do over to the bubble room and send me a box of sticky buns? I’ll trade for some crab claws!
Had a good ride yesterday myself in the bush west of where I live. Temperature of 42 C, although it was cooler under the forest canopy. Steve you can keep your -25 C to yourself thank you.

our roads are basically impassible aroundhere when the snow flies (south of Calgary) and won’t get better until spring, so i’m toast. The guys who live in Calgary though have nice bike paths that are blowed, and lots of co-workers cycle most of the winter…
