Mars atmosphere has an order of magnitude more CO2 than Earth, yet temperatures there range from -17C to -100C. That must be because Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the main greenhouse gas.
But Mars is also quite a bit further from the sun.
Obviously CO2 is not the main greenhouse gas on Earth.
Maybe relatively speaking-but Mars’ atmosphere is a near vacuum. The proportion of CO2 is meaningless under these conditions. That CO2 is “the main green-house gas” is, in its self, questionable. There are a host of other green-house gases which, individually, are less prevalent but in the whole may outweigh CO2. CO2 is obvious and easy to chack so everyone concentrates on that.
I didn’t say proportion. The absolute amount of CO2 is an order of magnitude larger on Mars.
“Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the main greenhouse gas”
That’s embarrassing considering government bureaucrats spend (I think its around) 18 billion a year on man made climate change research.
they probably just figured trying to cap and trade h20 would be just too obvious.
At less than 5% of the total GHGs in the atmosphere CO2 is definitely the leading GHG in the atmosphere. That is why those IDIOTS are government employees! They think that 5% is greater than 95%!
It is a Travesty!
Anyone heard of this thing, H2O? Just wundrin.
